Does a wedding celebrant just turn up & read a script?

Oh hell no!

Literally hours are spent researching, writing, rehearsing, re-writing, editing, fact checking..
to make your ceremony, personal, factual, funny, heartwarming, flowing etc

Not to mention the endless reading the script to my husband to ensure all is good.

Then on the day rehearing with the wedding co-ordinator to ensure all the ques are correct (music, photos etc)

And then, at the final stage. We read from a script 😝

I put my heart and soul into this and I’ll do it again for you!

Lovely review from the Maid of Honour at Jon & Becki’s wedding 🖤😘
After being the celebrant of the ceremony I also MC’d the evening part.
This involved wrangling guests to take their seats for the all important speeches!

The Father of the Bride needed a little encouragement to get on the mic but then delivered a beautiful speech.
Then next up was the Maid of Honour who also needed a little encouragement as her speech was funny but a little rude so needed to know it was a safe space to go for it! 😝😝

It was a speech no one in the room will forget & I was glad to be able to help!

The joy of a “roll with the punches, anything goes, let’s have fun, rock n ‘ roll” celebrant aye!

Little clip from Saturdays wedding in the woods.
I’m really proud of this joke, my husband laughed when I read it to him in the many, many rehearsals I did, and it warmed my heart when the bride & groom & their guests laughed too. Because that’s what’s it’s all about - love & laughter on your big day 🖤🖤🖤

I made this pre ceremony video from the wedding I led on Saturday but the sound didn’t record 🫠

But you can see the beautiful outdoor ceremony setting F&R had for their day.

Just another reason to have a celebrant led wedding - the location can be anywhere! 🍁🍂🍃

And it’s not my job to record the sound for the service so don’t worry 😆

I bit of a real life one from me today, but honestly the experiences I’ve had over the last couple of years have helped me on my way to know that being a celebrant & helping people to celebrate the small moments and not just the grand ones is the path for me.
