Students rotate around classes in Film & TV, Musical Theatre, and Acting, and work towards in-house & external performance opportunities! PQA Wirral is a dedicated performing arts Academy at the Birkenhead High School Academy, with classes for children and young adults in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre (singing & dancing) and Film & Television. Through our classes our 6-18 year old students devel
op skills in Acting, Singing, Dance and Film and learn what it takes to work both infront and behind the scenes (with our Film & TV class in particular teaching our students to use all of the equipment needed to shoot their very own short films!) Meanwhile, our 4-5 year old Poppets spend 90 minutes with us in an actioned packed session introducing them to the core elements of performing arts, using their imaginations to tell a story. Some students are with us because they want to develop their confidence and meet new people, others are with us because they would like to pursue a career in the industry one day. The most important part of being at PQA Wirral is that all of our students LOVE spending their Saturday mornings engaged in performing arts, being creative and developing their skills, and making life-long friends.
