Welcome to SAFE Essex.
Are you an autistic woman (formally diagnosed, awaiting assessment, or self-identified)?
If so, come and join us: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1993601450605?aff=oddtdtcreator
SAFE Essex is a community-led platform dedicated to celebrating and empowering autism (without a co-occurring intellectual disability) and neurodiversity.
We provide a welcoming space where individuals can learn practical information, navigate life's challenges, and access the vital resources they need.
What We Offer:
Our services are designed to provide both community connection and tailored individual guidance:
Support Groups: A variety of peer-led groups focused on building social connections.
Individual Sessions: Personalised 1:1 support tailored to your specific needs (these are offered on a needs basis and typically are for one session only for members of SAFE).
Strategic Projects: Specialised initiatives, including numeracy courses and defined employment pathways.
Our overarching goal is to promote a "differences, not deficits" approach, recognising the unique strengths and talents that autistic individuals bring to our communities.
Getting Started:
Our Activities: We run a wide variety of groups. You can find full details on our Activities Page.
Membership: While we do ask attendees to eventually join our charity, we are more than happy for your client to come along and try out a few groups first! You can read more about it on our Membership Page.
