A lot of you know that I do many bilingual weddings (some even trilingual), mostly in Spanish, French or Portuguese (with a bit of Italian and German thrown in every now and again). I've just been booked to do a Hungarian wedding on Arthur's Seat next year - now, there's a challenge!

With six weddings, two funerals and a holiday in Greece, I'm having a busy month - but managing to sneak a free weekend away by the seaside in Rockcliffe, so Lizzie can enjoy the beach. But a celebrant's life goes on regardless, and I'm delighted to have four new bookings - at Melville Castle, Traquair House, Wedderlie House and Peebles Hydro. I can't imagine how I used to do my 'main' job as well!!

Well, a celebrant's life is full of challenges. I do lots of bilingual ceremonies in French and Spanish and Portuguese (this year more than a third of all my ceremonies have been bilingual). But in November I will be marrying Noelia and Fernanda in a trilingual ceremony, with both Spanish and Portuguese. And neither of their families speak the other language ... I'll be starting to plan this one pretty soon, wish me luck!

Oh, Saturday's wedding was such a blast, my face is still aching from laughing so much! It was such a pleasure to marry ...

Oh, Saturday's wedding was such a blast, my face is still aching from laughing so much! It was such a pleasure to marry Mikey and Sam at the amazing Atholl Palace. It was ... sort of ... traditional. Apart from the Ultimate Geek Mash Up wedding reading. And apart from Sam's totally amazing black dress (with pockets). And apart from having to ad lib to describe Mikey as weird, quirky and eccentric every few minutes. Apart from the wild orange limousine that Mikey arrived in. And apart from having to wait until the guests stopped laughing so they could hear me.

IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE. Thank you for trusting me with your day, Mikey and Sam, and the hugest of weird, quirky and eccentric congratulations to you both.
