Somehow managed to distil my entire brain into a neat little brochure – which, trust me, is saying something when your brain’s full of timelines and logistics.

If you’re planning a wedding and looking for an Oxfordshire wedding planner (or wherever you’re getting married, I’m in!) this little guide gives you a relaxed, honest look at how I support modern couples, whether you need full wedding planning, coordination, or just a bit of extra help tying everything together.

It’s basically my website, condensed and made easier to flick through - with all the ways I can help you plan with clarity, confidence and a good dose of calm.

I genuinely love getting your enquiries! Every one feels like the start of something exciting and my discovery calls are such a great way to chat through your day. They’re super relaxed, a chance to get to know each other properly, have a bit of a laugh, and figure out if I’m the right planner for you.

You know those beautiful little photos of all the tiny details on a wedding morning? I’m obsessed.

They’re such a lovely way to capture all the bits you’ve spent time choosing - your invites, your rings, your perfume bottle, your vow books… all the things that tell your story but might get otherwise overlooked.

To save your photographer rummaging around trying to find everything, pop anything you’d like photographed into a box the night before..

• Your full stationery set
• Rings (all of them!)
• Jewellery
• Shoes
• Perfume
• Vow books
• Maybe a ribbon or two
• And if your florist can spare a few loose blooms? Even better.

Your photographer will thank you, and you’ll have the prettiest little memory of all those gorgeous details you spent hours picking out.

I just love how a flat lay pulls all the vibes of your day into one shot. Total eye candy, and such a beautiful keepsake 🤍

We got married eight years ago before I worked in the industry. Our day was so us, and we absolutely loved it but I have learned so much since then! Here are a few of the things I’d do differently..

Videographer
We were incredibly lucky to be able to have a friend video our day and although we still completely appreciate the love and effort that went into doing it for us - I would definitely invest in a professional videographer to capture the day.

Drinks Reception Entertainment
Honestly, I didn’t even think about it! Our guests were happily sipping drinks and munching canapés but I’d definitely add something extra - live music would’ve been perfect, especially a sax player!

Bridal Party
Controversial, but hear me out.. I’d be more selective. You can’t predict the future, but looking back I’d of definitely tweaked some choices. Enough said!

A On The Day Coordinator
Our incredible photographer ended up doubling as our coordinator - doing everything, even calling suppliers when they were late. But that wasn’t her job, and we were just lucky she stepped up. A dedicated coordinator would’ve made the day smoother and let her focus on capturing all those beautiful moments.

More Time Together
I say this all the time - don’t leave your partner’s side on your wedding day! We spent so much time catching up with guests separately that by the end of the night, we’d almost experienced two different weddings. If I could go back, I’d be glued to my husband’s side.

Eat the Food (And Pick What We Wanted!)
We didn’t choose our first choices because we wanted to please everyone. Big mistake! Also, we had none of our evening food and didn’t ask anyone to set some aside. We spent time and money carefully picking our menu, and we didn’t even get to enjoy it properly!

More Personal Touches
I’d love to have done little things like personalised notes for each guest at their place setting - small gestures that make people feel truly appreciated. I’d prioritise details like that over things we compromised on (looking at you, food choices)

So, to past couples and suppliers - would you do anything differently?

Last night was something special! 💖 Co-hosting The Solo Social’s first Galentine’s event alongside Mel & Lauradana was such a joy, and I’m so grateful to everyone who booked on, showed up, and supported us.

The energy in the room was unreal - so many incredible solo wedding entrepreneurs coming together to connect, celebrate, and lift each other up.

Being quite new to self-employment (even though I’ve been in the wedding industry for four years), I’ve recently felt first-hand how isolating it can be. But teaming up with Mel & Lauradana has been an absolute dream, and last night was proof of how powerful community really is.

A massive thank you to all the incredible suppliers who helped bring this event to life - you are all incredible women! And to every single person who attended, thank you for showing up, for supporting us, and for being part of this little corner of the industry that we’re so proud to create.

Self-employment can be a lonely place but not when you have people like this by your side so here’s to more nights like this, more community, and more lifting each other up 🥂💕

First, take a deep breath and soak in this incredible moment! You’re engaged - how exciting is that? This season is all about celebrating love, connection, and the beginning of an amazing new chapter.

There’s no right or wrong way to approach being engaged but as someone who’s been part of so many love stories, here are four tips I highly recommend before you dive head first into wedding planning..

Celebrate the moment
Take time to truly enjoy and embrace this milestone. Whether it’s a cozy night in with your partner or a big celebration with loved ones, savor this sweet season before diving into the details.

Start dreaming
Spend time talking with your partner about your dream wedding. Think about what you BOTH envision - whether it’s an intimate gathering or a grand celebration and start to align on the vibe you’d love for your big day.

Set your priorities
Before getting swept up in Pinterest boards and endless to-do lists, decide what matters most. Is it a beautiful venue, an unforgettable meal, or amazing entertainment? Knowing your priorities will guide every step of planning.

Enjoy being engaged
This stage of life only happens once, please don’t rush past it. Take engagement photos, say “fiancé” a million times, and cherish the joy of this chapter. There’s plenty of time for planning later.

As we step into 2025, I just want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me and my business this past year. My amazing 2024 couples – working with you this year has been so rewarding. You’ve given me the confidence to turn my dream into reality, and I couldn’t be more grateful for your trust and support.

Starting this business just a couple of months ago has been an absolute dream come true, and I’ve been truly overwhelmed by the love, support, and bookings that have come my way already!
