We have donated around 60 halloween balloons to Slade Green Food Bank ahead of their family halloween party on Friday.

With the rise in cost of living everyone is feeling the pinch points. It is upsetting how many families are now having to choose between heating their home or eating a meal.

Slade Green Foodbank is one of (if not the only) food bank in our borough that is open to all, so essentially doesn't have a voucher requirement, anyone in need can turn up and be given a meal.

I feel very lucky to be apart of a community that offers this type of food bank. The team work tirelessly to ensure every family has a not only a meal, but clean clothes, basic house hold items, nappys, baby milk, etc, on top of offering events for families throughout the year.

Bears Balloons Bexley will continue to support the food bank throughout the year, esspecially around seasonal events and we hope that this post inspires some additional donations from the community.

The team are not only looking for food but things like nappys, baby milk, kids toys, as well as blankets, gloves, hats - Items that will keep people warm in the winter.
