Okay, let’s be honest, summer does NOT guarantee warmth.

Think about it…

🌧️ It rains. Even in August! (Such as this weekend) If your guests get caught in a shower, where are they going to warm up and dry off afterwards?

💜 Many women will be in dresses with bare arms, perhaps with a light wrap or shawl. Lovely when the sun is shining — not quite as lovely when the temperature drops later in the day.

🪑 Guests spend a lot of time standing chatting, watching photographs, listening or watching entertainment and then sitting down for a meal that can last two hours or more.

They’re not walking around much or exercising, so naturally as their body temperatures drop they can start to feel the chill.

🌙 And then there’s the evening. That beautiful warm afternoon can become a completely different temperature once the sun disappears.

So even for a July or August wedding, have a plan for warmth..

🔥 A couple of heaters such as our outdoor fires
🧺 A gorgeous basket of blankets
☕ Even something warm to drink such as a hot chocolate station or tea and coffee service

It’s such a simple thing, but guest comfort makes a HUGE difference to how long people stay at your wedding, how relaxed they feel and ultimately how much they enjoy your wedding.

A HUGE congratulations to Harriet our Star of the Month! 🥳👏

Harriet ⁩, you have been working incredibly hard and putting in some long hours across both The Beverley Barn and The Cart Shed Catering. You’re hardworking, always smiling, approachable and friendly, and you’ve even introduced some fabulous new recruits to the team!

A very well-deserved Star of the Month – thank you for everything you do. ❤️

✨ SHINING STAR OF THE MONTH – Tyla✨

Tyla continuously receives such lovely, positive feedback from her colleagues about her warm and friendly approach. She makes a real effort to check in with everyone throughout a shift, making sure the team are happy, have regular breaks and have everything they need to do their jobs well.

She is patient, understanding and approachable, while always keeping our clients’ best interests at heart.

Tyla is genuinely passionate about The Beverley Barn, and it shows. She always wants everything to be just right and takes real pride in making sure our couples and their guests have the best possible experience.

And finally, a HUGE well done and thank you to the whole team for the past four events!

You have all done brilliantly. The Barn has looked absolutely beautiful, our events have run wonderfully, and you’ve managed everything the British weather has thrown at us! ☀️🌧️💨

A huge well done, everyone – and an extra special congratulations to Harriet and Tyla! 🌟✨❤️

We’re pretty sure the majority of our daily steps come from wedding set-ups! 😂 Back and forth like a yo-yo — tables, chairs, moving décor from ceremony to reception, checking the seating plan and adding those finishing touches!

It’s ALL worth it for that moment our couples walk into the Barn and see the vision they’ve been planning for months finally come to life🥹
