I know, I know… it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it. 😂🥂

I was recently invited to spend the night at the beautiful The Langley, with dinner, an overnight stay and, the following morning, a proper tour of the venue with the lovely Rebecca from their events team.

And while I’m certainly not complaining about being wined, dined and tucked up in a rather gorgeous hotel room for the night 😉, these visits are actually so valuable as a wedding planner.

There’s only so much you can learn from a brochure, website or quick show around. Being able to properly experience a venue, the rooms, the food, the service, the atmosphere and all those little details you only notice when you’re actually staying there, means I can talk to my couples about it from genuine experience.
Because when I recommend a venue, I want to know what it feels like to be there, not just what it looks like on Instagram.

So yes… technically this was work.
Please respect my sacrifice. 😂

The glamorous photos are only half the story.
The reality? 22 hours on my feet. Problem-solving. Constant decision making. Running on adrenaline (and usually not much sleep!).
It’s physically exhausting and mentally demanding... but standing back at the end of the day, watching everything come together and seeing my couples having the best day of their lives makes every single hour worth it.
It might be the hardest part of my job... but it’s also my absolute favourite.
