🎄✨ What a fantastic Christmas season it’s been!
A huge thank you to everyone who booked us once again — it was truly heart-warming to see so many smiles on both children’s and adults’ faces. Those moments are exactly why we do what we do ❤️🦌
Now that Christmas is behind us, our focus shifts back to life at the yard and our breeding programme. The reindeers are enjoying some well-earned time off, out in the fields and loving the recent snow ❄️ — exactly where they’re happiest.
If we can be of any help going forward, or if experienced people are looking to buy reindeers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always happy to chat and offer advice.

🎄✨ As we head into the final days before Christmas, we’re starting to think about packing up for another magical season.

We’ll be running right up until Christmas Eve, after which our reindeers stationed in statics around the country will be carefully collected and begin their journey back home to the Black Mountain in Wales 🦌🏔️ — very happy after spreading festive cheer far and wide.

Today at Black Mountain Reindeer Hire, we were honoured to do something a little different — something truly close to our hearts.
Ollie (or Oliver, as some know him) visited The Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamsted with a special delivery: a huge collection of our reindeer teddy bears.

These cuddly friends were leftover from this season’s merchandise, and we felt they could bring comfort where it’s needed the most — to children who are facing the unimaginable… losing a parent, or tragically, their own lives.

We hope that during this Christmas season, these little reindeer can offer warmth, smiles and something soft to cuddle when things are tough.
Sending love, strength and festive magic to every child and family supported by the hospice. ❤️🦌✨

Yesterday I (Ollie) headed up to the reindeer farm to give Kay Swimmerton, the founder of Black Mountain Reindeer, a hand getting our lovely reindeer ready for their Christmas homes! 🎄🦌

We had two trailers loaded — one with three of our friendly castrated boys heading to Springtime Nurseries in Enfield, where they’ll be part of their magical Christmas display, and the other two off to Feltham, another of Springtime’s nurseries. Both have beautifully built enclosures ready for them, thanks to the amazing team at Springtime Nurseries.

They’ll be there throughout the festive season, delighting visitors and spreading Christmas cheer before we bring them back home after Christmas.

The kids (and adults!) are going to absolutely love it — and if you fancy a truly special Santa experience this year, Springtime Nurseries really do an incredible job! 🎅✨
