With sorrow, we must announce that Fr Chris Rogers passed from this life in the early hours of Wednesday morning 29th July at Watford General Hospital. Our prayers are with his partner, John, and with his family and friends. Our Rector, Fr Stuart, has written a heartfelt tribute in this week’s Parish News email.
Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him, here in Berkhamsted and at the many churches where he has served in 40 years of ministry, among them Ss Augustine, Chesterfield , St Philip Chaddesden , St. Lawrence Whitwell in the 1980s, and later at All Saints Burnley and St Hilda's Ashford. He will be remembered in the The Diocese of St Albans The Church of England in Derbyshire and the Diocese of London.
Chris was also a devoted supporter of HIV charities, among them as a trustee of The River House Trust.

Heavenly Father, we give thanks for the ministry of your servant Chris.
Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord,
and let light perpetual shine upon him.
✠ May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
