“When searching for our wedding venue, we knew we wanted somewhere in the countryside, away from the busy city life, with flexibility when it came to meal choices, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Shottle Hall absolutely delivered on all of these.
When we viewed the venue in mid-2024, we instantly fell in love and booked our wedding for August 2026. At the time, the venue had a marquee, which we thought was beautiful, but this was later knocked down and replaced with the absolutely stunning barn.
Niamh, our assigned wedding coordinator and Master of Ceremonies, was incredibly friendly, informative and helpful throughout the planning process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly on the day. We had absolutely no worries or stress, as Niamh ensured everyone knew where they needed to be and kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
We loved the flow of the venue, from the outdoor ceremony area, to the Orangery for our wedding breakfast, and then into the barn for the reception. Each space worked perfectly for the different parts of the day. An added bonus was having the bedrooms upstairs, followed by breakfast the next morning, which made the whole experience feel even more relaxed and special.
Thank you so much to Niamh and everyone at Shottle Hall for helping us create such an amazing wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue or a better team to help bring our vision to life!
