So very delighted for our friend and co-worker Norman Mawhinney on his award of a British Empire Medal in the Queen's New Year Honours List. "For services to running and the community in Comber." One of the highlights of Belfast International Arts Festival has been the breathtaking large scale art installation, The Tempest, by artist Hughie O'Donoghue. Downey Birch was delighted to deliver a surprise reception for Hughie, at which he was presented the Belfast Telegraph Spirit of Festival award by Executive Editor John Laverty. It was a pleasure to work with such am amzing, yet humble, artist.
