Inspired by some of fashion's most glamorous eras, especially the 1930s and the 1950s, Lizzie Agnew designs and makes beautiful vintage and antique style gowns and dresses. Lizzie works from her studio in Belfast, Northern Ireland along with her talented team. Martin's School of Art in London, Lizzie has spent over 20 years designing and creating beautiful garments. Lizzie has been nominated for a variety of awards including ‘Wedding Dress Design of the Year 2013’ by Wedding Journal as well as ‘Business Woman of the Year – Women in Fashion’ by the Belfast Telegraph. Lizzie won the Ulster Tatler's 'Entrepreneur of the Year 2010’. She has also dressed a number of high profile clients including former Miss World Rosanna Davidson, former Miss Ireland Rebecca Maguire and TV and Radio presenter Pamela Ballentine. She offers a unique design service by working closely with the client to create a fabulous gown for any occasion. Her beautiful designs are executed with exquisite cut and luxurious fabrics such as fine silk dupion, shantung, taffeta and lace. Whether it's a wedding dress, evening gown, or just a gorgeous frock, Lizzie will make any woman feel sensational in a classic garment which can be treasured for years to come.

The Kimono jumpsuit has been cut and pinned and ready for Lucy to try on next week. There was quite a lot of work to try and make the narrow panels fit together in a way which works - here it is so far.....

Some of you may know that I also make veils and headpieces for brides. Well I don't often bother photographing them but I thought this one was so pretty I just had to. It's a beaded lace rolo with full face fine veiling. Prices for my head pieces range between £120 and £175.

Here's the gorgeous Laura Cahoon married last summer at the beautiful Montalto Estate. Laura is wearing a Silk Crepe dress with hand stitched motifs from the royal wedding lace(the same lace as Kate Middletons dress). Beautiful bride married in a beautiful location.

Laura McGowan married just last week, looking absolutely stunning and completely delighted with her dress! received this lovely text just before she jetted off on her honeymoon.

Hi Lizzie!! Sorry for the late text but just wanted to say that words really can’t express how happy I was with my wedding dress yesterday-the whole day et perfectly-honestly it couldn’t have been better for Neil or and the dress….well, the dress went down an absolute storm!!;-) I felt amazing and everyone thought the dress was perfect-so me!!Neil absolutely loved it too! Here are a couple of pics before we jet off on honeymoon!!Xx

This is the oh-so-elegant Claire Johnston, who was married two years ago this Summer and appears on my website. However, I've just received more amazing photographs from Thousand-words photography and just had to share them with you! She is wearing one of my personal favourites, the Hera (The Greek Goddess Of Marriage) and one of our beautiful, gossamer, pure silk veils. Lovely.

Here's the lovely Jordan McKenzie(now Mrs Davidson!) Jordan got married back in February in an uber glamorous gown made from the most beautiful pearl sequin silk georgette. It took quite some time to make I can tell you, but, I think it was well worth it because she looks utterly amazing! we also made a luxurious long ivory fur stole to keep the February chill off her perfect shoulders.

Joanne Marley came to me in a bit of a panic last Autumn - she had only 4 months to get a dress as she'd booked her wedding for February, well I pulled out the stops and here are the results. I worked with Joanne to create her dream dress - a 30's style full lace gown with a gathered collar to the back.. The lace has twinkly beading all over and was overlaid a fine crepe. I think the whole thing is beautifully reminiscent of old school Hollywood glamour!

Here is the oh-so beautiful Oonagh Diamond who was married a few weeks ago in one of my gowns. The main part of the dress is a heavy silk crepe and the off the shoulder lace bodice is removable so Oonagh had 2 very distinct looks from the one gown! The stunning photos was by C2 Photography and her perfect make up was by Rosemary Wright, fantastic job ladies!

I really am a bit rubbish at this Facebook thing, I suppose I'm always so busy making lovely dresses for lovely brides! However I got these photos recently from Sara Stewart (nee O'Neill) and I had to share them with you. She's wearing a silk crepe dress with lace appliques (difficult to see but they are there!) and bishop sleeves - I think she looks amazing!
