Our 3rd Anime Pub Quiz is officially in the books… and WOW, you lot really showed up for this one 🔥

This quiz was, no joke, easily our toughest yet 😈 but that didn’t stop you all bringing the energy, the knowledge, and some seriously EPIC cosplays 👀 (honestly, you made it hard to focus on the questions, Vegeta in the back?? 😂)

Huge shoutout to everyone who dressed up, you absolutely smashed it 🙌

We also had some amazing prizes up for grabs, and the competition was fierce from start to finish 🏆

I’ve heard the cries though… some of you want specific anime-themed quizzes 👀
Did someone say… One Piece? 👒
Let’s just say… I might be cooking something in the background 🍳🔥

🎮 Belfast Video Game Pub Quiz Recap 🕹️

What a night… honestly unreal.
We had 220+ people in the room, over £800+ in prizes, and the energy was insane from start to finish 🔥

Cosplays galore, loads of new faces, and it all came down to a ONE POINT difference between 1st and 2nd place 😭🏆

This was our third Video Game Pub Quiz, and seeing this many of you come down, have a laugh, and battle it out for prizes means everything 🖤

BELFAST POKÉMON PUB QUIZ - FEB 26TH WAS A BLAST ⚡🔥

Happy Pokémon Day!! Honestly feels perfect we got to celebrate it like this 🫶

Over 200+ of you packed into The Bot and made it our biggest Pokémon quiz yet… and somehow it was even better than last time 😭

The energy in the room was unreal. A proper mix of familiar faces and loads of new ones, and it genuinely felt like something special.

We gave away some insane prizes on the night including a Nintendo Switch, an emulation Game Boy, classic games, Snorlax slippers, gaming gear, a Pokemon Charizard EX Super Premium Collection, Japanese booster packs… and every single person walked away with a Pokémon card too!!

It was a fandom experience in the best possible way.

More than anything though, thank you!
For showing up, for getting involved, for screaming answers across the room like your life depended on it (Loved it when all shouted the Drying Pan line) 😂

It means everything seeing a space full of people just enjoying what they love, no judgement, just awesome vibes. And the fact you keep showing up like this means we get to keep doing it 💛

Belfast Anime Disco - Saturday November 15th - More Photos!

🎧 Belfast… that Anime Disco was unreal.
170+ of you showed up for our first ever disco from all across Northern Ireland. Some literally from the other side of the country!!
And honestly? It felt like an anime finale moment. A perfect close to 2025!

I’m talking:
🕺 Cosplayers strutting to the Robotnik dance music (Don’t Hold Back)
🏴‍☠️ everyone screaming “We Are” from One Piece
🚗 and a 40 person line-slide drifting across the floor when Initial D hit the speakers

We got 180+ song requests on the night too… amazing tracks… and not enough hours 😭

Big thanks to Kriz the Whiz for keeping things running, the bar staff for serving our funny plays on cocktails, for capturing the night and Lucy & Chris for keeping the vibes banging throughout.

People underestimate Belfast. Seriously.

Over a year ago, Belfast Nerd Pub Quiz was a small idea and a lot of crossed fingers.
Through 2025, it turned into something far bigger than we expected.

Fourteen pub quizzes.
A brand-new Anime Disco.
A new home at The Botanic Inn.
Sold-out nights. One room with over 200 nerds in it… which was class, and also a bit mad 😂

But the numbers aren’t the bit that stuck.
What stuck was people turning up in costume for a Sonic quiz. Seeing the same teams every month. Watching strangers end the night swapping socials and planning the next one. Getting messages at Christmas saying these nights were highlights of the year. Like flip man is that not so heartwarming and wholesome?

The Anime Disco at the end of the year felt like the right way to close it out. We weren’t sure how it’d go. Then 178 people arrived and the place went off lol

Big thanks to , everyone who helped run the nights, worked behind the scenes, sorted tech, took photos, played tunes, held doors.
And to YOU, who showed up, came back, dragged mates along, or travelled far longer than was expected to be here.

Not saying we’ve nailed everything. Learned a lot along the way.
But it feels like we’re onto something.

Grateful for the community that built this with us.
Excited to keep going in 2026.
