After a very busy year, our office will be closed from 24th Dec - 5th Jan as our team gets a well deserved break, but we’re excited to hit the ground running in 2026!

Back in January, JComms was appointed by newly formed business alliance, Employee Ownership Ireland, to raise the profile of employee ownership in NI as well as supporting the trade body with its aim to create 10,000 employee owners here before 2029.

We established a network of ambassadors, engaged with employee-owned businesses, developed engaging social content and organised a high-profile launch event attended by political leaders.🙌

Since the launch of EOI in January 2025, the number of employee-owned businesses in NI has increased by over 80% and there are already over 1,200 employee owners based here.

The campaign was recently awarded Gold at the CIPR NI Awards for Business and Corporate Communications.🏆

We’ve had much to celebrate at JComms of late!

As well as successfully completing major client projects and being the most-awarded agency at the CIPR NI Awards 2025, we also marked some important team news.

Huge congratulations to Lauren Irwin on her promotion to Senior Consultant and a huge welcome to Kate McCormack who has joined us as a Junior Consultant! We’re also very pleased that our colleague Aimee Moore has joined the PRCA NI committee.

We were incredibly proud to win eight awards at the CIPR NI Awards in the Europa Hotel on Friday evening. We won more awards than any other agency with wins for clients including Specsavers, Evora Hospice, Employee Ownership Ireland, Primark, Telefonica Tech, NI Science Festival, and Ringland Group / Amelia Hall. We were particularly proud that our colleague Aimee Moore was recognised in the Young Communicator of the Year Award with a Silver Award.

Last week the 2025 PANI Awards celebrated The Wonderful Word of Advertising.✨

It was a fantastic night with over 300 people at the Culloden Estate & Spa, celebrating the talent, hard work and best of the industry.

JComms provided event management, social media management and supported website development for this year’s event.

We were delighted to work with Janine Wells, Pauline Pase and Tony Axon, as well as the esteemed panel of judges, chaired by Sir John Hegarty.

Lights, camera, action!🎥 We were beyond proud to create a media moment to remember earlier this month, as Loose Women launched their award-winning Facing it Together campaign at CastleCourt Shopping Centre.

What began with the mall hosting the new campaign posters, soon evolved into us bringing together the PSNI and Women’s Aid for on-air interviews as Loose Women broadcast live from CastleCourt with presenter Nadia Sawlha. We also worked with the organisations to provide guidance for the posters’ signposting for NI, alongside the NI Executive’s Ending Violence Against Women & Girls Directorate.

The campaign helps people identify the signs of domestic abuse, signposting them to the support that is available locally, crucial for NI as last year, the PSNI recorded 32,763 domestic abuse incidents and nearly 20,000 domestic abuse crimes.

It was a huge honour to manage this very worthwhile project and bring each organisation together to communicate an important conversation directly to the public.

Last week saw the sixth Belfast Telegraph IT Awards in partnership with Telefónica Tech, celebrating the immense talent and innovation in Northern Ireland's IT sector. From AI to mobile apps, and cybersecurity to data scientists, we championed the excellence of NI’s IT industry.

We are always delighted to work alongside Karen McGarvey and the team at mediahuis on the organisation and management of the event, as well as producing video content on the night.

It was great to honour the achievements of businesses, teams and individuals once again, including Tom Gray, who was this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to the IT Sector award.

Belfast One’s Monster Mayhem has returned!👻🦇

The 10 inflatable installations have taken over iconic buildings throughout the busy shopping districts, from Sinclair House on Royal Avenue to CastleCourt, Victoria Square, Corn Market and Donegal Place, bringing a vibrant, fun feel to the area, boosting footfall for retailers, hospitality and leisure outlets.

This year, there has been a mutation of the monsters with five all-new frightening faces gracing rooftops, windows and domes for the first time, placing Belfast’s Halloween celebrations on par with cities such as Manchester, Dublin and London.🎃

We do a significant amount of work in the property sector, so it’s always brilliant to help celebrate and recognise the great work of property professionals, teams and companies!

Last week, we provided PR support to RICS to announce the UK winners of the RICS Awards in London, achieving media coverage across UK regions.

And on Friday, we were delighted to support the Belfast Telegraph in organising the Belfast Telegraph Property Awards which celebrate and recognise Northern Ireland’s property industry. With over 620 guests in attendance, this year’s awards was one of the biggest dates in the property industry calendar!
