Taking Up Space - Popper Cherry

Belfast based DJ Popper Cherry is the co-founder of the incredible collective t4tb2b () who run fabulous Q***r club nights where classic rave energy merges with safer dance floors.

She’s been rising through Ireland’s nightlife scene with intimate gigs for Late Night Art, The F Collective & Belfast Sapphics, as well as supporting Princess Glitoris & DILEMMA and Ponyhawke Pride legend Bonzai Bonner.

Taking influence from Japanese video game scores from composers such as Shoji Meguro (Persona) and Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio), her sound is an eclectic collision of soulful grooves & high-octane energy.

She's ending our first Taking Up Space in true style and we can not wait!

Taking Up Space - Neave Wright (.wright)

Equal parts witty and alarming, Neave Wright takes up space by exploring personal failures through a lens of bleak, painfully specific comedy.

With a placid delivery that masterfully masks her biting metaphors, Neave dissects personal failures through comedy that is bleak and painfully specific. Sharp, dry, and challenging as a salt and vinegar crisp, she is the perfect addition to a festival line-up dedicated to raw authenticity and fierce, fresh perspectives.

Next Week!
In Poor Taste: Thursday 6th August, 8.00pm.

An hour of comedy that should have stayed inside thoughts.
Bunny Martinez and Neave Wright bring their respective works in progress to the Accidental stage. The two blend absurd silliness, dry cynicism, and jokes with questionable morals. Rough around the edges, delightfully unpolished, and almost certainly in poor taste.

Bunny Martinez is a Christmas tree farmer, undertaker, father and now, delusional comedian. A blend of moronic silliness and jokes darker than a Guinness s**t, come find out if he’s actually Mexican or just a potato-headed bumpkin attempting to sound intriguing.
Neave Wright is witty and charming, s**tty and alarming. Neave explores personal failures with a placid delivery and biting metaphors. Her comedy is bleak and painfully specific. She is dry, sharp and challenging as a salt and vinegar crisp.
