I had previously never put myself forward for these things in the past, however, as a wise man once said “A shy kid gets nae sweeties!” 🍬 And in January this year I was delighted to receive my first award as a wedding celebrant, which really meant the world to me. 🥰

So if you feel me being a part of your big day, or if you attended a wedding I conducted for your friends and family and helped to make it something special, I’d be really happy if you took the time to cast a vote for me in the ‘Celebrant of the Year’ (category 31).

The name to list is Craig Aikman IHC Humanist Celebrant, and my home town is Beith, North Ayrshire.

If you follow the link, the process literally takes 2 minutes, and I’d be very grateful once again to receive your votes 💕

The Scottish Wedding Awards are now open for nominations!

If one of our IHC celebrants helped make your wedding day special, we’d be so grateful if you’d consider nominating them.

A huge thank you to every couple who takes the time to vote and support our amazing celebrants💜

On a weeks trip to Tiree! My favourite island with some of my favourite people! 🥰

I get back late on Sunday 14th June. I will still try and answer all emails and new enquiries as quickly as possible. If it’s urgent though, message me and I’ll do my best to assist. I’ll pick everything else up when I return at the end of the week.

Yesterday’s wedding saw me heading to Lochside Hotel, to conduct the wedding ceremony for Jodie (featuring Chris!)😂

Big thanks to Kirsty and Rebecca for ensuring everything ran smoothly 👏

It was great to work alongside View-Photography and Shelby Productions who captured their big day. 📸 🎥

Jodie looked amazing, as she was walked down the aisle by her proud Granda John, following behind her Maid of Honour, her sister Nicky, and her bridesmaids, Chris’s sister Suzanne, and her close friends Carly, Kerry, Shelley, and Jade.🌟

Chris was ably assisted by his best men, Lee and Gary, and his groomsmen Tam, Marc, John, Tambo and Ryan, who were all great help and support. 💪🏼

There was plenty of emotion on the day, which was exactly 20 years since Chris sent Jodie a text asking if she wanted to “Nip him”, and there were plenty more laughs too, as I shared their love story so far with their family and friends! 📖 🥺

We also had a lovely quaich ceremony, where the traditional whisky was swapped out for Sambuca! 🥃🥴

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bell! 💕

For today’s wedding I was at the University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel, to conduct the ceremony for Lux and Jenny. My thanks as always to Cara for all her help, ensuring everything ran smoothly! 👏🏼

The happy couple shared personal vows with one another, before they reinforced their bond by taking part in a traditional Scottish handfast, so they really did tie the knot! 🪢

And they also took part in another Scottish tradition, by sharing a drink from the quaich! 🥃

Congratulations Lux and Jenny! 💕

Yesterday’s wedding saw me heading into Glasgow City Centre, to conduct the ceremony for Larry and Kenya at The Corinthian Club. My thanks to Tabby and the team there for all their help, ensuring the day ran smoothly! 👏🏼

It was great to work alongside Meggy Mac Photography and Kirsty from Mood Creative who helped capture their day 📸 📱

Kenya was walked down the aisle by her proud dad Tony, following behind her Maid of Honour, her sister Cora, and her bridesmaids, Kimberley, Eilidh, Sophie, Chloe and Lisa. And they all looked beautiful! 🤩

Larry’s was ably assisted by his best man, his brother Nick, and his groomsmen, Walker, Duffy and Jordy, who had all been a great help and support to them. 💪🏼

And let’s not forget the little people, their page boy and flower girls, their 3 children Jac, Orla and Sofia, who all looked amazing, and did a fantastic job! 👌🏼

There were plenty of laughs too, as I shared their love story so far with their family and friends! 📖 😂

The happy couple then reinforced their bond by taking part in a traditional Scottish handfast, so they really did tie the knot! 🪢

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Kerr! 💕

Yesterday I headed east again, where I had the pleasure to conduct the wedding ceremony for Emma and Lawrie on my first visit to the stunning Barnbougle Castle. My thanks to Lauren, Mhairi and all the team there for the warm welcome and all their help, ensuring the day ran smoothly! 👌🏼

It was great as always to work alongside my old colleague Chris Norton - Bagpiper For Hire!

Emma was walked down the aisle by her proud dad Scott, following behind her Maid of Honour, her sister Charlotte, and her bridesmaids, her close friends Katrina, Lauren and Lauren. And they all looked amazing! 🤩

Lawrie’s was ably assisted by his best men, his brother Jamie, and his best mate James, and his groomsmen, Ali, Matt and Parker, who had both been a great help and support to them. 💪

There were plenty of laughs too, as I shared their love story so far with their family and friends, and we also had some lovely words shared by Lawrie’s dad Gary! 📖 😂

The happy couple then reinforced their bond by taking part in a traditional Scottish handfast. The ribbons they used were Hebridean, which was being worn by Lawrie, and McCabe tartan, to honour Emma’s mum Mindy, so they really did tie the knot! 🪢

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Clapton! 💕
