Hi Guys.

Hope your all fit and well. I'm having a little time away from my Handmade flowers, due to being off my trotters with Achilies Tendonitus, it is sooo painful. Plus we also have a new family member arrive. Meet Indie who's 9 weeks... not the best time to run, (haha that's a joke) after a puppy, hopefully I'll be back on two feet soon.. X

A little throw back to one of my wedding cakes. Colour, arrangement of flowers & foliage, even the choice of ribbon(s)were so important to me.
I spent so much time on ribbon choice, even buying them from China ....I had a great shade chart full of beautiful satin ribbons, believe it or not that little splash of colour made a huge difference to a cake.

My flower crown is finished.
It's a 3/4 crown.. Delicate and fresh.. Now, all I would love is to see this in a styled wedding photo shoot! 😉

Hi Guys.

Hope your all well. I'm still working on the crown..... in between painting a bedroom, which led to painting the bathroom door...and now I'm painting my bedroom. But this morning my parcel was delivered all the way from Russia. It's nice to try other people's sugarcraft products. I think the painting will be short lived now.

Bringing something new to the bridal table, well new for me to make.
This is the start of my first crown, along way to go and as usual not quick to make, but I'm sure the finished piece will look fabulous.

Flowers are truly fascinating. Colours, textures, petals, stamens, pistols & foliage, so many components go to make up a flower. I love to look in peoples gardens or when I’m walking past a fabulous hedgerow, there’s just so much to see. I love bouquets that are natural, made up of not just one flower in a uniform ball, but those that flow....those types for me are just the best. Look at this delicate one, arranged by a Japanese florist. White and pale green, are just the best combo, what’s not to love?

You can see by the work involved they all take alot of time to make. I try and use different combinations from just one main flower and a small bit of foliage.

Hi Guys.

We hope that you've all been safe and keeping occupied during this horrendous time we've all had to endure. I've been in lockdown since March due to Asthma. I've made a few sugar flowers and added a few buttonholes to my list. I'm going to get some photos with them added to a lapel.. Always nice to see them in situ. Sadly they are not a five minute job to make, so I can't compete with the prices of our lovely florists. But on the upside they are a great everlasting keepsake/gift for the groom, bestman and ushers.
I will go onto flowered slides for the bridesmaids and corsages too. The possibilities are endless I suppose.. But, sadly I've only one pair of hands.

I was excited to open our little parcel from the other day, not only did it smell amazing, but was presented beautifully too.
So on this gorgeous day, I though it would be a great opportunity to arrange some of out latest to place next to it and do a little product photography.

Its been well over a year since the last time I made a cake. It's like riding a bike, you never forget. Life begins at 50! Haha... Only 1000 calories a slice.. with another 200 thrown in for the gin and tonic.
