✨ A Few Things About Me ✨

Hello! I’m Lucy, the face behind Pearls & Pins by Lucy, and I thought it was time to introduce myself properly. 🤍

Here are five things you might not know about me…

✨ I live in Milton Keynes with my cat, having relocated from Norfolk a few years ago. While I’ve settled in beautifully, I still miss being by the sea and never pass up an opportunity for a coastal escape.

✨ Bridalwear has been a huge part of my career for many years. I worked as a freelance costume maker before moving into the bridal industry, and I’ve been helping brides find and perfect their dream dresses since 2008.

✨ Alongside running Pearls & Pins, I’m also a midwife. Both roles allow me to be part of some of life’s most special moments, and I genuinely love meeting new people and supporting them through important milestones.

✨ My favourite part of what I do is helping bring a bride’s vision to life. Whether it’s a bespoke veil, custom embellishment, a dress transformation, or one of my memory frames created from a wedding gown, I love creating pieces that are personal, meaningful, and completely unique.

✨ When I’m in my sewing studio, there’s a good chance Strictly Come Dancing is on in the background! I love ballroom and Latin dancing, and there’s something quite fitting about working on a beautiful bridal veil while watching a bit of sparkle and glamour on screen. 💃✨

One of the things I enjoy most about this business is getting to know my brides and being part of their wedding journey. ✨ Real Bride Spotlight – Caitlin ✨

What a privilege it was to support the lovely Caitlin throughout her wedding journey. 🤍

In the lead-up to the big day, I carried out Caitlin’s bridal alterations and created a custom bustle to ensure her dress looked and moved beautifully from ceremony to evening celebrations.

On the wedding day itself, Caitlin chose my Gold Dressing Package, meaning I was on hand throughout the day to provide support whenever it was needed.

From helping her get dressed in the morning, being there for the special first reveal to family and friends, assisting during photographs, presenting the dress to perfection, bustling the gown for the evening reception, and even putting her hair up ready for the evening celebrations – I was there every step of the way.
