All roads led to Grimsby last weekend to serve at the Black History Month event held by The Health Gospel (CIC), an organisation that is changing the landscape of ethnicity and health equity by championing inclusive wellness and cultural pride for Black, Asian, and minority communities. Themed “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” the free event at Centre4, 17a Wootton Road, featured a lineup of community-driven workshops, performances, and panel discussions—all designed to empower attendees with practical health information and celebrate the rich tapestry of Black history in the UK.
Beyond the festivities, The Health Gospel CIC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting migrant families and other minority groups in navigating healthcare and social systems. Through on-site advice sessions and one-to-one guidance, participants learned about accessing local services, managing chronic conditions, and building resilient support networks—underscoring the organisation’s holistic approach to community wellness.
