🌧️ ☀️ Yesterday was a day full of lows and highs. Pretty much went straight from chemo (that almost didn’t happen due to dodgy bloods), to music bingo. Thankfully, very doable though as I don’t usually crash until middle of day two and both the hospital and pub are in High Wycombe.

🎵 Bingo was fabulous, the ‘Name’ themed round worked a treat. I had a really fun-loving table near me, all work colleagues who originally came in just for a quick drink after work. Fran then managed to persuade them to stay on for bingo. The energy and good vibes they bought to the night were incredible, they ended up being the last table to leave. Meg, if you’re reading this please message me your number and I’ll send you over the videos I took. The copyright police don’t always like it when I put them on here! And thank you so much for the lovely positive feedback you and your friends gave me on the night, yes I heard them all because I was so close. I was so lucky having you all sat by me on the night, it was just the ‘pick me up’ I needed. It’s nights like this that give me the motivation to keep fighting. Goodness knows what my oncologist would think if she randomly came in to pub and saw me front of house, singing and dancing along to ‘Living Next Door to Alice’, whilst drinking a glass of wine! 😂

👏 Congrats to all of our lucky winners last night. Julie won the big jackpot prize of £200 on the second game and George (who had a night off from the bar had a big win too).

🎄🎅 I look forward to seeing anyone who has successfully booked in for our Xmas Themed Music Bingos on either 1st or 15th December. I think all the tables have sold out now, so well done to you early turtle doves who’ve already secured a table. As always, they’ll be terrific fun, Fran and her team go full out on these nights, adding lots of extra festive surprises and prizes into the mix. The pub looks fabulous too, I was stood next to Santa’s grotto last night and it’s so cool. Make sure to dig out that Christmas sweater!

❤️ How lucky am I getting to do something that I truly love! Hosting music bingos and silly quizzes brings me so much joy, especially when the audience are as fun and appreciative as these guys always are! It’s the second time I’ve hosted here, and it looks like I’ll be back there in the new year too. With my current health issues, I’m quite choosy who I agree to host for these days, but when I find a crowd as cool as this, it’s hard to say no! They literally come in bouncing, full of excitement & smiles, and leave even happier, never forgetting to tell me how much they’ve enjoyed the evening, aswell as helping me to pack up. This particular night attracted about four tables of young people too, which pleased me greatly. Seeing them off their phones, singing, cheering and just enjoying being in the moment was just brilliant. Quite a few of them came over to thank me at the end too, believe me that little gesture never goes unnoticed.

🏆 It was an exciting, close run quiz, but well done to Table Two who clinched it in the end! Congratulations to one of their members Sarah who was our overall ‘Top Banana’ of the evening, (aka highest scoring individual). This table had a very good night indeed - they even won the Music Bingo!

☀️ What a fabulous evening we had yesterday down at The Spindle for our ‘Feels Like Summer’ themed music bingo. Every time I host there, it feels like a festival! I didn’t take too many photos yesterday as Fran, the landlady had booked a professional photographer for the evening, can’t wait to see them. And yes, everyone got a quick ‘Coldplay’ head’s up, we made sure no one was sitting next to anyone they shouldn’t be before he arrived.

👏 We had some big winners yesterday too - the biggest jackpot of the evening was shared by Elisha and Max. Well done guys!

🎵 ☀️ Another fun night hosting a summer themed music bingo at this fabulous Marlow based pub! There were lots of newbies there too yesterday, all of whom left with big smiles on their faces, and asking when I’ll be there next!

👏 Many congratulations to our big jackpot winners of the evening, Ashton and his family and friends. This young man is like a ball of sunshine who happens to be a bit of a comedian too. When I received a big cheer from the parents after asking them if they were looking forward to the kids going back to school soon, as quick as a flash Ashton said, ‘Don’t worry we’ll still be around to terrorise you at the weekends!’ 🤣

🎤 On Friday, Glenn and I rocked up at The Barn in Marlow Bottom to host an intimate 50/60’s Music Bingo show for the members of Valley Plus, a social club for local seniors. One of their members, Lesley, had seen me previously host in Marlow and was keen to book me. Suffice to say, everyone had a fabulous time, an afternoon filled with friendship, laughter and song!

🏡 For me, one of the added perks of what I do is seeing and checking out new, never before seen venues. The Barn Club was the perfect setting for parties and entertainment, I’d highly recommend it. It even had a beautiful patio area outside with tables and chairs, we loved it!

🙏 Thank you to everyone in the club, and in particular Lesley and Ivan, the Chairman - you were all so very welcoming and good fun too. I was also very touched by your kind donation to my charity Ovacome, the UK’s ovarian cancer support charity.

🏆 Congratulations to all our winners on the afternoon, including John (seen here with his wife Jennie), and Jenny who won big in the second game!

🎵 I love hosting at this gorgeous pub in Marlow, the staff are lovely and it’s so cool being asked back again, and again! I’m not sure if they’re advertising it just yet, but here’s a little head’s up to my followers as to when I’ll be there in case you want to book a cheeky table. Be sure to mention the bingo, there are not many tables available as it’s only hosted in a small section of the pub. Why not come along, have a meal and make a proper night of it! Otherwise, see you at the Spindle on the BH Monday instead! 😘
