Just do it - don’t hesitate!

From the moment we met Kate D over lunch, she spent a few hours taking notes. From then on in, the lead up and ceremony was detailed and delivered nothing short of incredible. We have had endless comments from guests who have praised Kate D and we couldn’t be happier with how this kicked off the day. The ceremony was tailored to our vibe and the humour on point!

Me thinks we may use this photo a lot to promote celebrant- led funerals, alternative venues, doing death differently, death positivity, normalising difficult conversations and everything else we bang on about!!!

What a way to kick off 2026 wedding season for Kate D!
Everything was just perfect for CJ and Georgia - the sun was shining, set the vibes, and added some real class and chilled ambience🎶
caught it all on camera- well you couldn’t take a bad picture of these two beautiful people!
is just such a fabulous venue for a festival vibe wedding, and the good weather elevated the experience!

It’s the 1st of May my little darlings! That can only mean one thing……
Wedding’s baby!!!!!
We are officially in wedding season from today 💍💒
Both Kates are getting wedding ready and can’t wait to be a small part of all you delicious couples special day!
And it’s also birthday month
10 years this month we both handed in our notice without a clue or a plan and Kate and Kate was born.
As Kate T said to me on the phone this week, on paper, we shouldn’t get on! We’re so different in many ways, but we compliment one another, laugh a lot, are each others biggest cheerleader and have had such an adventure so far!
What will happen in the next ten, eh!?

What can you expect from a first funeral meeting?
We’ll start with the practical bits:
❤️what happens in the ceremony
❤️what choices you have
❤️music, readings and tributes
❤️tone and style
❤️what you definitely do not want
Some families arrive worried they’ll be upset. Some worry they won’t cry. Some worry they don’t know where to start.
All of that is normal.
Our job is to make space for grief, memories, questions, honesty and even humour when it belongs there.
Once we’ve got the framework, it’s on to talking all about your person - who they were, what mattered to them, the things that made them laugh, the habits that drove everyone mad, the stories that must be told, and the details that made them them.
Because a funeral meeting is not about getting it “right”.
It is about beginning to tell the story of a life.
We don’t judge. We don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to think or feel. There’s only what feels right for you.
So make a cuppa, take a breath, and tell us about the person you love.
