New personal favourite mashup unlocked 🫡

Dan & Molly’s wedding at the Limpley Stoke Hotel near Bath earlier this month was an absolute belter! It was SWEATY but the dance floor was thriving and everyone was very much up for a boogie & a singalong. 🕺

(And further evidence for my entirely reasonable take that every wedding requires a High School Musical moment 🤌🏻)

If you’re looking for an acoustic wedding singer and this is the sort of energy you want at your wedding, come say hi 👀

✨ AUGUST GIGS ✨

These are the few public gigs where you can catch me this month, as peak season is still very much doing its thing. So if you fancy catching me live, these are your chances!

Also a little heads up: I’ll be out of office 10th-17th August. I’m not going anywhere exciting - just planning on rotting, building Lego and watching trash TV. A very sophisticated retreat which is very needed this time of year 🥱

Emails will still be monitored, so anything urgent for events shortly afterwards will be sorted, but I’ll be properly back at my desk the following week ✨

Big love as always to the venues having me this month:
THE PRINCE OF BURFORD | Bear Inn Cirencester | The Swan Hotel, Bibury | The Keynsham Courtyard | The Pig & Fiddle

I fear I’ve learned an important lesson from this wedding... next time this happens, I’m going to pretend I’ve never heard of Oasis 😂

Jokes aside, this is exactly why I always ask my wedding clients for a ‘do not play’ list.

Some to-be-weds send me a full set list while others just give me a few artists they love and let me run with it - but either way, I always want to know what you *don’t* want to hear too.

Because sometimes a ‘do not play’ list a this tells me more about your taste than your requests do!

…And if I get a rogue guest request on the day, it means I don’t accidentally commit the musical equivalent of turning up in white to someone else’s wedding 🙃

(I’ve delivered worse news before, but never been caught in the middle of such a serious musical negotiation 😂)

One thing I’ve realised is that lots of to-be-weds know they want live music for their wedding... but aren’t always sure what that actually looks like in practice. Which is fair enough, because “acoustic wedding singer” covers quite a lot of ground, and it turns out “what do you do?” is a very reasonable question that I have somehow been accidentally dodging on the gram 👀

So here’s a quick breakdown of the 3 things I get asked the most:
✨ What parts of a wedding can you play?
✨ What kind of music do you play?
✨ Can I have a weird mix of music tastes?

(The answer to the last one is yes.)

If you’re planning a wedding and trying to figure out where live acoustic music might fit in, hopefully this clears a bit of that up! 🫶

Chloe & Ellis’ wedding guests were such a vibe 💛

Really fun one from start to finish - these guys honestly barely needed the encouragement, they were very much up for a good time and made my job very easy in the best way

10/10 crowd behaviour, no notes

The vibes were, in fact, immaculate 🪩✨

TJ & Colin’s wedding in Bath back in May was so much fun! It was very HOT but that didn’t stop these guys starting the party early 🕺☀️

What an absolute blast 💛

Here is my attempt at answering the question I get asked most often behind the scenes: as a wedding singer, what’s my booking process?

If you’re in the “I just want to know what happens next” stage of planning, this one’s for you!

I am, however, always tweaking things behind the scenes (a polite way of saying I will never stop rearranging systems that are already working fine but could be better) but this should still give you a pretty solid idea of what to expect 🫡

And if you’ve got questions that aren’t covered here, my inbox is always open, even for non-music related things. Drop me a line at any stage to ask about song ideas, general wedding advice, supplier recommendations etc - I’m genuinely very invested in your day. Which I realise might be slightly intense for some, but unfortunately I do care quite a bit x
