A great day was had at the 2nd conference held . Very well looked after on such a hot day- having to get back into motorbike gear at the end was tough but throughly enjoyed the speakers and likeminded community of people coming together.

Ooh what a busy time- Friday I nipped ….well a 3hr drive over to open morning and I have been meaning to get to see it for a long time. Was great to meet John & Benni ( hope I spelt your name correct!) and it is a garden that makes you breathe and slow down. Apart from an amazing position the relaxed planting, amount of insect life and variety of plants and habitats is inspirational. I love the more industrial use of materials and learnt quite a bit along the way.
I might even try my hand at a bit of traditional cob making …. If I can get the recipe right!

It’s been a long day but so good to head to Kew for our Graduation and results.

So I started the Construction Design Certificate course run by last September and completing it in April. It’s intense, huge amount of information, challenges you on all levels. It is one of the best courses to deep dive into construction, detailing, materials, specifications, regulations and generally looking at our world with different eyes.
A big thanks to all the tutors imparting their knowledge and to admin for keeping everything running smoothly.
As my fellow graduates would agree you do start to have an obsession with construction …. Just can’t help it….

What a week - nothing to do with gardening but pets who have been part of the family for 15yr plus. Thought I was losing her this week but she is a fighter and is pulling through for a little while but it is only a matter of time unfortunately…. And I came across these photos of Cody aged 2yr when we lived in West Penwith. He would hate me sharing but he is in Oz living his best life having secured a new job and I couldn’t be prouder of the man he has become. But these photos are so damn cute!!

It’s been a busy hot week but a lovely morning was had with the organising the visit with . It always so inspiring and even though I wasn’t going to buy as I am selling my house I still came away with herbs and this morning just had a glorious mug of Desert Mint tea. Note to all never mix your mints into same container- something I have fallen foul of.

Small gardens can be tricky to design but had so much fun with this one. Bringing a dead space to life with interest, life, colour and height. Now to get it built.
