oming and established contemporary artists, designers, makers and traders. We’ll have a wide range of unique products, alongside cherry picked retro and vintage items that you just won't see in any high street store. You’ll hear sounds from our resident DJ, who will be spinning mellow funky beats or Resolution Records playing some of their rare and classic vinyl. And to keep you entertained, we’ve also got some great local musicians on the bill. Dotted around the market floor you will find permanent independent fixtures such as an award-winning pizzeria, a stunning florist, an organic wine merchant, a cool coffee shop and tasty vegetarian and vegan offerings from the new kids on the block, Rooted. So, if you're looking for a hidden gem of a market and love to support independent businesses, then this market is for you! The Bath Independent x Alongside present: Pete Josef & Friends

An intimate one-off evening of live music, DJs, food and connection, with all proceeds supporting Alongside.

At the heart of the evening is Pete Josef, adding this special Bath show to his in-demand national solo tour.

For the first time, Pete brings together the three threads that have shaped his creative life: the soul music that has always been his foundation, the more driving electronic and dance sounds of his studio work, and his rootsier, guitar-led songwriting.

Moving from stripped-back and intimate to a rich, tech-driven sound world, Pete draws on music from Colour, I Rise With The Birds and his 2026 double EP Lifeline / Defence. It’s a show built around intimacy and connection, but with plenty of room to move.

Joining Pete are much-loved local band Splinters, bringing their soulful take on familiar songs through intimate guitars, heartfelt vocals and lo-fi rhythms.

Throughout the evening, Bath DJ duo SWIMWEAR will weave in and out of the live sets before taking over later on. Expect twisted electronic beats, low-slung funk, cosmic disco and soulful selections, with distinctly south-of-the-river vibes.

And because a good night needs good food, local independent caterer Roasted Lemon will be serving tacos, burritos and nachos, alongside sangria, palomas, spiced lemonade mocktails and fuego lime lemonade.

The setting is part of the experience too: a spacious, white-washed industrial studio transformed for one night with atmospheric lighting, sound by Open Mic Bath, and a few unexpected touches. Think intimate London warehouse show, transplanted to Bath.

Hosted and brought together by Heidi Roxton, founder of The Bath Independent, this is a one-off gathering for locals and visitors alike: great musicians, good food, dancing and a room full of people brought together for a reason.

All proceeds from the evening will go to Alongside, whose mission is to support people experiencing homelessness, social exclusion, and crisis across the South and West of England.

Pete Josef and special guests come together for a one off charity event at a unique venue in central Bath on Sunday 27th September.

Limited tickets available on Wednesday 2nd September at 10am.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to Alongside Charity (formerly known as Julian House) who's core mission is to work alongside individuals experiencing homelessness, crisis, and social exclusion and to help them build safer, more stable independent lives.

Come and check out Nahua Toh this Saturday, 15th August at The Bath Independent Market! 🥳🎉

are creating a small cocktail pop-up, featuring a couple of original cocktails made with Three Spirit, the alcohol-free botanical drinks brand. Their aim is to introduce customers to a more creative approach to (alcohol-free) Feel Good cocktails, using fresh ingredients, seasonal flavours and professional mixology techniques.

They are offering a small selection of freshly prepared cocktails , designed to be approachable, refreshing and visually appealing, while showcasing the unique botanical flavours of Three Spirit.

WE DID IT🙌🏼☀️

Thank you to all of our traders & visitors, from near and far that came through our doors today!

The time flew by, we braved it and went out flyering, got to have tough skin to be rejected and walked past, whilst other people /tourists loved being told about our local makers market.

I think I nailed my shpeel "Hi guys, we have a local makers market on today, it's just round the corner from McDonalds" - we were lucky to even get those words in before they took a flyer 🩷💛 - some people just snubbed us 😂

for giving me the opportunity that you have. Looking forward to holding more creative events at your venue.

This was our first market in central Bath, some knew, some stumbled across us, some were passing in cars and seemed very inquisitive...

Thank you Maria you were a legend today 🫶🏽 Your coffee, and fresh lemonade went down a treat 🤩
