Rabbit and the Rose is owned by floral stylist Stephanie Dunn, based in North Hampshire. Specialising in bespoke wedding and event flowers, she is also available to take occasional orders, corporate work, funeral, special commissions and workshops. With a background in textile design and styling, Steph is always looking out for new trends and techniques whilst celebrating the natural beauty flowers and foliage offer. Evoking the senses with a creative approach to composition, textures, colours and the use of scent. Whilst most flowers come fresh from the dutch market, Steph uses English and locally grown where possible, focussing on seasonality and never compromising on quality. It is important for Steph to reflect the customers personality and desires through their flowers, whether it is simply for a gift bouquet, funeral displays or for a wedding, every occasion is as important as each other. Through listening and care Steph will be with you from consultation right through to creating and often delivering your arrangements, so you can be sure you're getting a personalised and bespoke service.

Join me for my annual Floral Pumpkin Workshop!

At the end of this month, Thursday 29th October, after work 5:45-9, book with friends & loved ones, have a delicious afternoon tea to fuel you up and a chance to have a good old catch up and natter. Then relax into an evening of autumnal flora fun and create a spectacular pumpkin centrepiece.
No previous experience required, all tools and materials provided. Just come for the fun! A little pumpkin scooping, then a smorgasbord board of autumnal flowers and foliage to inspire and personalise your fabulous gourd!

There’s something about the light and silhouettes that makes Autumn so magical, everything kind of glows, there’s contrast, you get to play not just with form but light and shade.
For Katie and Charlie, their wedding was exquisite, sumptuous, comforting, elegant, tonal and textural. Grittleton House was the most stunning setting and backdrop. It was so fun playing with layering, the warm metals, coloured candles, soft textures and ruffly petals with the odd delicate chocolate cosmos and grasses dancing and creating shadows.

An ode to Autumn wreaths

I welcome autumn one stem at a time.

With hands full of moss, berries, and winding vine,
I gather the season into a circle—
a little piece of golden woodland,
made to hang on someone’s door and whisper,
“Autumn has arrived.”

I work with whatever the hedgerows offer:
Wispy grasses, curling leaves,
Blushing rosehips, berried ivy,
seed heads that have waited all summer for this moment.

Every wreath I make carries a story -
of crisp morning walks,
rain-soaked fields,
warm kitchens,
and the quiet joy of home.

As a florist, I don’t just make wreaths.
I weave together the colours, textures, and feelings
of my favourite season,
hoping that when you hang one on your door,
you’ll feel a little of autumn’s magic too.

The time has come… I’m sorry if it feels too soon. But it is also quite exciting to think about the festive season, if just for a moment! Book now and it’ll be a treat to look forward to!
I have a few workshop dates available this year, so I hope there’s a time that’ll suit you all;

I absolutely love running these special workshops. I love meeting new customers, and it’s also so wonderful seeing familiar faces, previous brides, previous customers, and repeat workshoppers! Over the years these workshops have become part of some festive traditions, a chance to catch up with friends and family and an occasion to celebrate together. That is a real privilege and I’m so grateful to offer a space for this. Sure you learn and create the most fabulous Christmas wreath, but it’s so much more than that. Enjoy a craft, leave with a heart full.

More workshops than last year, many at the lovely Laura Fisher | Homewares & Candle Workshops Worting Road Basingstoke, and new this year I’ll also be hosting at Longbridge Mill, Sherfield on Loddon, Hook, Hook, so hopefully many more memories to make with you all.

Daffodils and blossom popping up remind me of this shoot a couple years back. It was Ethereal, fresh, they reminded me of goddesses (just as you should feel on your wedding day!) the buttery sunshine tones felt so soft and luxurious. It was delightful!
