🔥 Beltaine's Blessings 2027🔥

One of my favourite parts of the whole gatheringl is the evening bonfire.

After a day of reflection, stepping outside our comfort zones, and pushing ourselves in different ways, there’s something so special about coming together around the fire as the sun goes down.

Some dance, some sit and chat, some simply watch the flames. We share stories, laughter, and moments of connection.

There’s something so deeply human about gathering around a fire. It’s something our ancestors have done for thousands of years. To dance, to celebrate, to share stories, and simply to be together.

No expectations, no challenges to overcome. Just the warmth of the flames, the music, the people around us, and the simple joy of being alive.

And for me, that’s a little bit of Beltaine magic.

✨ Ancient Tales, Eternal Wisdom ✨

Some stories stay with us because they hold a truth we all need reminding of.

The story of the man who scattered the feathers from his pillow reminds us that once words have been spoken, they cannot truly be taken back. Like feathers carried on the wind, our words travel further than we might ever know.

A gentle reminder to speak with care, to consider the impact we have on others, and to remember that some things, once released into the world, can never be gathered back.

Samhain- A night around the fire

5:00pm – 8:30pm

Join us for Samhain, come and spend the evening by the fire

As the year turns towards winter, we’ll gather around the bonfire with a small group to pause, reflect and mark this ancient seasonal turning point together.

The evening will include storytelling around the fire, exploring some of the stories and traditions of Samhain and what this time of year can invite us to consider.

We’ll spend some time thinking about those who came before us, where we have come from, what we carry with us, and what we might want to leave behind or carry forward into the darker half of the year.

There will be a guided meditation, time for quiet reflection and a simple Samhain ritual. There will also be the opportunity to take part in an arrow break — a powerful but completely optional experience of meeting fear, setting an intention and stepping forward.

Nothing is compulsory. You’re welcome to simply sit by the fire, listen to the stories, take part in the meditation and enjoy an evening of connection and reflection.

Ancestral altar

If you’d like to, you’re invited to bring a small object, photograph or something that belonged to one of your ancestors to place on a communal altar during the evening.

There’s absolutely no obligation to bring anything. It might be something meaningful, something you’ve inherited, or simply an object that helps you feel connected to those who came before you.

The drums playing, the fire glowing, everyone cheering each other on as each person takes their turn across the embers.

There’s always something really special about the energy around a firewalk. A mixture of nerves, excitement, laughter and a lot of encouragement.

I’ve done hundreds of arrow breaks with people now, and I’ve learnt that it’s rarely about the arrow.

It’s about fear.

We spend so much of our lives being afraid of things. Holding ourselves back. Waiting until we feel ready. Wondering whether we can actually do the thing we want to do.

And then you stand there with an arrow against your throat and you have to trust yourself.

Most people are scared. And that’s okay.

What I love is that you’re surrounded by people who are completely behind you. Cheering you on, encouraging you, holding space for you. We’re all vulnerable when we step up to that arrow.

And then you make that choice to trust yourself.

You step forward.

And it breaks.

Something that looked impossible becomes something you’ve actually done.

And I think that’s why these moments can stay with people for a long time. Because you leave with a very real memory of yourself moving through fear rather than letting it stop you.

That’s what I love about arrow breaking. And it’s one of the things I love about creating spaces like Beltaine’s Blessings.

A place to come together, try something new, be a little bit brave, and maybe discover something about yourself along the way.

🔥 Beltaine's Blessings 2027 🔥

There is something ancient about gathering around a fire.

About standing beneath an open sky. Singing with other voices, dancing until you're warm, making something with your hands, sharing food and laughter, and watching the flames rise into the darkness.

For our ancestors, the turning of the seasons wasn't something that simply happened in the background. It shaped life. It was something to mark, prepare for and celebrate together. A chance to come together and remember that we are part of something bigger.

And entertainment wasn't something we simply consumed.

We made it.

We sang the songs. We played the drums. We told the stories. We danced. We made things. We gathered around the fire and became part of the celebration.

Beltaine’s Blessings is a small, grassroots gathering inspired by that same impulse.

A chance to step away from the noise for a while. To reconnect with nature, with other people, and with something a little older within ourselves.

Not just to watch.
To take part.

Challenge yourself. Try something new. Find out what you're capable of.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of tending for a firewalk hosted by the amazing Juliet Hollingsworth Hypnotherapy and honestly… just look at that fire. 🔥

There’s something I really love about tending a fire. You can’t completely control it. You can feed it, shape it, guide it, but ultimately you have to pay attention to what it’s doing and work with it. You have to be present.

It becomes this little dance between you and the fire.

Sometimes it rages. Sometimes it settles. Sometimes it does something completely unexpected and you have to respond.

And I think that’s a lot like life really.

We can try to control everything, but we can’t. We can learn to pay attention, to respond, to work with what’s in front of us rather than fighting against it.

And eventually, the flames die back and you’re left with those beautiful glowing embers…

I loved the energy of the arrow breaks at Beltaine's Blessings! So many people stepped forward to try something new, to breakthrough fear and prove to themselves they are stronger than they think! The arrow break leaves a lasting memory that the stories we tell ourselves about what we are capable of often aren't true.

This is not a test of strength but of courage. Are you willing to step forward with an arrow to you throat?

The energy after the arrow snaps is of elation, relief, joy and with that we sometimes get an emotional relief. Many people say the arrow break is scarier than the fire. Something you can't look away from, but with that comes a greater reward when you step forward with that fear to do something that on the surface may seem impossible.
