This Christmas, enjoy a festive wreath-making workshop led by qualified, professional florists. All materials are provided, and by the end of the session you will have created a beautiful, high-quality wreath to display throughout the festive season.
Relax with a tea or coffee and enjoy a friendly chat while creating your masterpiece during this two-hour workshop.
Two sessions available:
• 10:00am to 12:00pm
• 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Cost £43.00 per person, recommended age 11+.

The Ghost Tour includes an exclusive, immersive guided walk through the park after hours. The walk lasts approximately one hour and covers a large area of the park. Participants should have a reasonable level of mobility, as the route includes uneven ground and outdoor terrain. After the walk, guests can enjoy a hot drink in one of our historic cottages and take the opportunity to speak with our team, ask questions, and learn more about the stories and history behind the tour. We recommend wearing suitable outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather conditions on the day of your visit. We recommend this experience for children aged 10 and over. However, parental discretion is advised, as while there are no jump scares, some aspects of the experience may be unsettling for more sensitive children.

We're continuing to restore a number of historic ponds at Wat Tyler Country Park, helping to create better habitat for wildlife, including the protected great crested newt.
The work will improve open water areas, aquatic vegetation and pond margins, creating healthier habitats for amphibians, insects and other wetland species.
Did you know? Many of these ponds were originally created as part of the former Pitsea Explosives Factory. One, known as Dynamite Pond, gets its name from the site's fascinating industrial past.
Today, these historic ponds are being transformed into thriving wildlife habitats, showing how conservation and local heritage can work hand in hand.

🚂 That’s a wrap on the 2026 summer season! 🎉

Our last train has now run for the summer, and what a season it has been!

A huge THANK YOU to every single customer who has visited us this year. Whether you’ve travelled with us once or have become regular passengers, your support means a huge amount to our little railway. ❤️

And of course, we couldn’t run the railway without our fantastic team of volunteers. 👏 From driving and guarding the trains to working on the platforms, maintaining the railway and everything behind the scenes — thank you for giving up your time and helping make every operating day happen. 🚂💙

The railway will now be closed on weekends for a short break before we return for October half term and our special events.
