🥰ALREADY IN THE UK - SUBSIDISED FEE - DEXTER- MALE -CHOW CHOW – 2 YEARS.
HE IS IN FOSTER CARE IN YORK YO43.
*** LOWER ADOPTION FEE ***
DEXTER IS NOT A WAGS DOG. WE ARE HELPING HOME HIM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ONE OF OUR TRUSTED FOSTERS. HE WAS A STRAY IN THE UK, SHE WAS ALERTED TO THE FACT THAT HIS 7 DAYS WERE NEARLY UP IN THE KENNELS AND SO SHE STEPPED IN AND BROUGHT HIM TO FOSTER TO PREVENT HIM BEING EUTHENISED.
THIS GORGEOUS CHOW CHOW IS NOW LOOKING FOR A KIND HOME.
He was in a terrible state when she collected him, his coat was matted dirty and he smelled like he had been lying in his own urine. Maybe he had been cruelly crated, we just will never know.
The poor darling must have been so sore with all the mats in his coat dragging at his skin.
He has now had a long groom, all done gently by hand and a nice wash and is looking so handsome and fluffy like a teddy bear!
Dexter is a beautiful fluffy black lovebug who deserves to experience what it feels like to be loved.
He is still being assessed by his kind foster mum but so far is doing so well with everyone and everything. He has met cats on lead and seemed to simply ignore them, so he could possibly live with a cat, he has so far been good with other dogs too.
He is good on lead and loves to wander and have a good sniff.
He is a superstar in the car, he travels well and settles down nicely for the journey ahead.
He is loving his food and adores treats too.
He is microchipped and his lovely foster mum will get him vaccinated and neutered. She will also give full rescue back up to his adopter.
If you’re familiar with the breed, you’ll know that Chow Chows are renowned for their deep loyalty and devotion to their humans. They are intelligent with gentle, but independent spirits. While Chows are often described as low-maintenance in terms of the exercise or attention they need, they form incredibly strong bonds with their families and are steadfastly loyal companions.
Dexter’s ideal home would be with someone with dog experience and who appreciates this boy has had a tough start. Chow Chows can be a little aloof and are not known for being overly playful, so Dexter would thrive best in a calm environment without young or boisterous children. Their sometimes stubborn nature means they’re better suited to experienced dog owners who understand the importance of gentle guidance and clear boundaries.
Dexter has had a tough start, but he’s ready for a bright future with people who will cherish him and offer the kindness he truly deserves. In return, he’ll reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection, he’ll be your devoted companion, loving you to the moon and back.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this beautiful boy, please get in touch to learn more about adopting Dexter. He’s waiting for his second chance at happiness!
