Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I've been reflecting on where I started and my business journey and where I am now.
When I was first unhappy in my corporate post I thought about becoming a VA. I did all the research, I got myself prepared etc and decided against it. Instead I retrained as a florist. I love being creative and I love flowers. It helped me immensely with my mental health and I did set up as a florist, specialising in weddings, workshops and demonstrations. I won some wedding awards and it was absolutely amazing to receive them. But I had the pull back to admin work, my background is with admin.
In hindsight should I have gone down the VA route back then as I would probably be well established now? I don't think so I have learned a lot from owning and running my own business and I have many transferrable skills so that I can help other businesses succeed.
They say that things happen for a reason and there is a time and a place for everything. The universe was telling me at that the time wasn't right to be a VA and by going full circle I believe that I have become a richer person.
