Itโ€™s been a while since I announced our new business venture - so I thought I would give you all an update.

One of our 3 signs are now up, and it seems much more real now, the excitement is kicking in!

We have also made a start getting all the larger sensory equipment in to the unit so we can plan the rest of the space wisely.

Now the previous on-going building work has finished, we can really progress with the development of the unit and we hope to be open as soon as possible.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s support on this new venture of ours.

Wow, we are amazed at the huge support we have already received since the announcement of The Little Sensory Room.

We want your input on how to make our sensory room the best for you.

If youโ€™ve visited sensory rooms/areas before let us know in the comments your biggest pros & cons, your preferred equipment/lights, themes etc. All your advice will be taken on board during the renovation process.

We cannot wait to make this magical idea come to life.

Welcome to The Little Sensory Room, we are a private sensory room filled with lights, textures and equipment. A calm, quiet and relaxing multi sensory play room aimed for babies and children with SEN. To help aid exploration, sensory development and a place to interact and bond with your child.

Encouraging engagement and exploration of the senses can help children interact with the world around them.

๐ŸŒˆENHANCE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH PLAY
Stimulation through the senses can engage different areas of the brain to help develop babies hand eye coordination and build nerve connections in the brain.

๐ŸŒˆ ZEN VIBES
Our sensory room can help children with anxiety, stress and can help a child reset when they are overstimulated and overwhelmed. The Little Sensory Room is a relaxing & safe environment.

๐ŸŒˆ CREATING BONDS AND MEMORIES
The Little Sensory Room is a place you and your children can enjoy together.

We will be holding days for private hire of the play room and also set days and times for open sessions.

๐Ÿ“The Little Sensory Room is based at The Hoyland Hub, Cloughfield Road, Hoyland, Barnsley, S74 0HR. We have plenty of free parking and are surrounded by plenty of local amenities.
