Written by W***y Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.

Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers. The production ran for more than 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only five musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” (The Daily Mail).

The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.

⛔️WARNING⛔️
THIS IS NOT THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, there are no songs from that, in this.

Step right up and enter the dazzling world of P.T. Barnum, where imagination and ambition know no bounds. Hand in hand with wife Charity, Barnum’s life and career twists and turns as he schemes and dreams his way to headier heights.

West End favourite and TV star Lee Mead will take centre stage as the legendary 19th century showman P.T. Barnum.

This spectacular production directed by Jonathan O’Boyle and choreographed by Oti Mabuse will feature an extraordinary ensemble cast of over 20 actor-musicians, acrobats and amazing circus acts. Audiences are certain to delight at every sight, wonder and miracle that the name Barnum stands for!

Barnum first took the UK by storm when it played the London Palladium, with Michael Crawford making theatrical history with a death-defying nightly tightrope walk across the stage. And now, Lee Mead steps into Barnum’s shoes and on to the tightrope!

Come follow the band with the glorious music of multi-award-winner Cy Coleman, Michael Stewart’s lyrics and Mark Bramble’s book. Barnum features a whole host of classic show tunes including Join the Circus, Colours of My Life, Come Follow the Band and Love Makes Such Fools of Us All.

🎪PLEASE TAKE NOTE 🎪

I’m making the unusual step of admitting what a show announcement is, but for a very good reason.

Yes the show is Barnum.
It is not The Greatest Showman.

Barnum is a splendid musical that premiered in 1980 with the marvellous Jim Dale (as my iTunes shows here). It went on to inspire a certain Mr Jackman to want to turn it into something bigger many years later.

So, please understand that whilst this show bears a resemblance in the story of what happens to Barnum, it has ABSOLUTELY NO SONGS FROM THE GREATEST SHOWMAN IN IT. It is an original and beautiful piece of work, and I do encourage constantly that people see shows they haven’t seen before (I did a trip to this many years ago to Manchester before Greatest showman was even a thing) but I do not want people attending that think they’re going to hear Never Enough, or This Is Me or see a flying trapeze, this is the original musical not THAT film.

That film is being turned into a musical but we are several years off it coming our way.

I had a wonderful debate on a page with an idiot that said Barnum was a rip off of the Greatest Showman 🤦‍♀️

So if you want to Come Follow The Band, wait for the announcement but know that it is the original. And beautiful it is too. 🩷

🎄THIS IS YOUR ONE MONTH WARNING🎄

Panto is due 1ST SEPTEMBER.
Yes that’s right. It’s here.

So, get bugging your families.
I WILL NOT budge this deadline in any way, it was put on sale 6 months ago, plenty of warning given.

Any drop in your numbers, or cancellations, the deposit is lost.

In general, once the deadline is gone and your tickets are paid, if anyone can suddenly no longer make it, I will not put resales on this page. I do the seating plans as soon as the deadline is gone, it takes a lot of time and sorting to do, I cannot move someone’s single ticket to someone else’s family booking, there are 800 people booked on this, please understand that sometimes you have to accept a lost ticket if needs be, I repeat, I will not put resales on this page.

So it begins…..ask away.

💜15 years.

💜185 trips.

💜212 booked with more to come.

What started as a one off (Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre in London, 15 years ago today) has turned into this.

After Belle, theatre is my greatest love, and always will be. Thank you for keeping it alive with me. My little purple heart is forever grateful every time we’ve been to a show and my Facebook is filled with pictures of people enjoying it. Long may I continue this madness of hating a seating plan and chasing deadline days.

‘Theatre is a weapon. For that reason, it must be fought for.’
