OUR CURRENT OBSESSION… DAHLIAS

Dahlias. Dahlias. And more dahlias.

They are very much having their moment right now and we can’t get enough of them.

Blousy, beautifully imperfect and bursting with the most extraordinary colours, dahlias are one of those flowers that make even the simplest arrangement feel rather special.

And what better way to celebrate dahlia season than with a morning dedicated entirely to them?

Our Late Summer Dahlia Workshop is happening next Sunday 23rd August and we’re now down to our final few places.

Spend a gorgeous morning with us at our Flower Bar, surrounded by an abundance of beautiful British-grown dahlias. We’ll show you how to condition and arrange them, share some of our favourite florist tips and tricks, and guide you through creating your own fabulous hand-tied bunch to take home.

Some of our favourite moments don’t come from the flowers themselves. They come from the little message that arrives alongside each order.

A few words typed into a box online. Sometimes they’re joyful, sometimes they’re comforting, sometimes they’re full of excitement, and every now and then they stop us in our tracks.

As florists, we’re given a tiny glimpse into so many of life’s moments. The birthdays, the retirements, the proud milestones, the difficult days, the thank yous, the thinking of yous and the simple reminders that someone is loved.

These are just a handful of the beautiful messages we’ve had the privilege of reading recently. A lovely reminder that flowers are so often about making life’s moments feel even more special.

Dahlia lovers… your season has arrived.

If it feels like the dahlias have burst into bloom earlier than usual, you’re not imagining it. All this glorious sunshine has given them a head start, and they’re looking more spectacular than ever.

From soft, romantic pastels to rich berry tones and fiery sunset shades, our Flower Bar is already filling with some of the season’s most beautiful varieties. We honestly wait all year for this moment.

And because we know so many of you share our love of these incredible flowers, we’ve managed to squeeze in a Dahlia Workshop this August.

Join us on Sunday 23rd August for a relaxed morning of flowers, creativity and all things dahlia. You’ll create your own abundant hand-tied bouquet using the very best British-grown blooms while picking up plenty of tips from our lovely Sadie along the way.
