Not easy to do right?
I was watching the squirrel in our garden. For days he was eating all the food we had put out for the birds so we put a squirrel guard over the feeder and now he can't get to it.
He still has plenty to eat in the garden, but on the first day he spent hours trying to get past the guard, attempting from different branches and different angles.
It made me wonder how much time we spent on situations or people we can't change without just "letting things be" and moving on. I know in the past I have all wanted to rescue people and fix things, but mindfulness has made me much more aware of these behavior and how draining they are.
On a more minor level how much energy is spent on frustration at the traffic jam we find ourselves in, the queue at the shop etc?
How much more free we could be if we learnt to just let go whenever we can. This is how we can have the energy and enthusiasm for the things that do matter!
Does this resonate with anyone else?
