Love this ๐Ÿงก

Well we do like to talk about "our triggers" don't we? Mindfulness however means balance and being in the moment.

The more we are in the moment the more we can absorb what's going on around us and we will notice the glimmers too โญ

My glimmer today was seeing a mum and baby deer running through the garden. (I have now put out some deer food to make sure mum can get enough calories to feed her baby during Winter.)

What has been your glimmer today?

We didn't enter the Christmas jumper competition but there were some great ones....

Thank you for everyone who has been asking about Flo.

We are pleased to say she seems much better now so hopefully the antibiotics are working.

Here is a photo of her with her daughter Sweet Pea and for a change they are not fighting over the hay rack ๐Ÿคฃ

So earlier in the week I went to my second women in business networking meeting hosted by the very positive and inspiring Jamie

The venue this time was an amazing barn complete with ducks and guinea fowl running around outside and the venue was just beautiful.

The theme this time was resilience which we all know is essential for any small business.

Such a supportive group and lovely to chat over issues and help each other in a creative group.

Do look out for their meetings next year and maybe we will be hosting one of them...?

Poor Flo has not had the best of days...

We noticed this morning she was struggling to eat and one side of her face was swollen, so we called the vet.

We have a great vet who came out this afternoon to have a look.

Flo is our most nervous alpaca and is not keen on being handled, especially when she is in pain and not feeling great. Alpacas are prey animals and it's their natural reaction to resist being restrained.

She was still jumping around after an injection of sedation, so the vet had to give a general anesthetic to keep her dozy so she could be examined without stressing her out. Can you believe she was even able to stay awake with the general but she did at least lay down and was sleepy!

A dental abcess seems the most likely problem. She has had antibiotics and pain relief but needs injections every 2 days for the next 2 weeks now of further antibiotics.

Hopefully this will work and she will soon be back to her chipper self! We will give her lots of love and extra attention.

Well it's absolutely beautiful this morning in the garden with Autumn in all it's glory.

I love this time of year with the crisp cold mornings and all the leaves changing colour's.

Winter can be a tricky season to navigate and many of us get the Winter blues with the short days and cold wet weather.

I like to use mindfulness to remember that life changes all the time including the seasons. I think about the trees letting go of their leaves each year and reflect on what I need to let go of in my life. This process of letting go also allows space for new things to come.

Us humans don't hibernate (although it would be nice!) but this time of year we should try to slow down a little and rest more. Listen to your body and what it needs. Nourish yourself and do things you enjoy and the time until Spring passes a little happier.

What does this time of year mean to you?
