Calling all previous Chenderit Art Students!
In 2019, Chenderit School will celebrate its 40th anniversary. To celebrate 40 years of Art at Chenderit, the legend that is Mr Childs is organising an exhibition of work by previous Chenderit students, to take place in the school’s gallery in September 2019.
Mr Childs was Head of Art at Chenderit from 1979 until 2014 and he is now searching for anyone who has studied art at Chenderit in the last 40 years. Do you remember your art lessons fondly? Did you go on to study art? Are you still studying art? Did you end up working in the creative industries? Are you still painting, illustrating, designing, taking photographs, producing jewellery, textiles, animation, furniture or pieces of 3D artwork? Are you designing for industry or commerce or producing work for sale?
In those 40 years, the school has been lucky to have employed some amazing art teachers and art continues to be both a special and a central element of Chenderit life. Whether your own favourite was Ms King, Mrs Parsons, Ms Liddiard, Miss Lymbery, Mr Christy, Mr Salt, Ms Galley, Ms Blockley, Mr Flint, Ms Williams, Ms Sutcliffe, Ms Ball, Ms Cramb or even Mr Childs himself, please get in touch. Please share this message with anyone else who may be interested. We need your help to get the message to all those ex-art students!
