Spring is here and it’s time for Thumbelina to step into some bigger shoes 👠 👠

It’s taken me a long time to reach a point of being able to fully let go of Thumbelina Design and all that I created within it and for the people who loved my work. I really did put my heart and soul into everything I created and I have some amazing memories, photos, and testimonials from you all.

The truth is I can’t escape my creative drive... it’s the heart and soul of who I am. It’s what has nurtured me through difficult and challenging times. It’s what has showed me the way when I’ve felt lost and alone.

I’m really excited to be moving things on and combining all of the modalities I use for personal development, wellbeing and conscious connections with everything and everyone around me. I’ve been doing this work for a VERY long time, not just in this lifetime but in many lifetimes gone by.

I know it’s time to step into the truth of who I am.

I promised I wouldn’t get to wordy in this short announcement but for now I’ll just say I have lots of awesome things lined up, workshops, (online and in person), a creative retreat and I’ll also be setting up an Etsy shop where you can buy my work.

A website will come when the time is right but I don’t need that right now to share what I have to share....

Working with people on their mindset, personal development and helping them design the lifestyle of their dreams.

So, it's a year ago now that I announced a change of direction for Thumbelina.
The last year has been a bit of a journey and a lot of work on myself (as usual!)
Essentially though, a journey of self development always brings us back to the truth of who we really are and what lights us up inside!
It's THAT, that we should be doing more of, because by doing what we love, we shine the light for others to find their way too.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!
To all my clients, friends, family and business partners who have played a part in my business.
I began Thumbelina Design in 2011. It actually wasn't my idea to start a business, someone else suggested I should utilise the skills I have and turn them into a business. Made sense to me, particularly after being made redundant. However with redundancy comes a lack of finances, that topped with the debt I had incurred meant I couldn't really start a business in the traditional way And deffinately not create a business that matched the vision in my mind.
I needed something to focus on, a reason to keep going and to keep my creative juices flowing. I was in the depths of depression when I started Thumbelina and slowly slowly I pulled myself out of it.
So, I started building the brand, had a website designed, designed and made a selection of garments and had a fantastic photo shoot to start my business in the right way.
Since then I have collaborated with various fellow industry professionals to work on photoshoots and had weddings and shoots in various online and paper publications which is really exciting. I've been lucky enough to design and create some amazing pieces for real life Brides, bridesmaids and Christenings. I've also worked on lots of weddings and proms and birthday party outfits aswell as doing alterations and customising. It's been a ride to say the least.
The business has dramatically moved away from my initial vision mostly through organic growth and demand of my clients which is fantastic but I want to refocus the business and give it the structure and definition that it needs. I want people to have a true understanding of what my brand is and what I stand for as a person.

So, with that in mind (and the fact we are 2 months away from a big house move) I am closing business for rest of this year and will be relaunching with something REALLY exciting in the 1st quarter of 2017 (So keep following this page) 💗

I really am so grateful for everything you have contributed to Thumbelina so far. Every like, comment, referal and recommendation is a blessing.

Look forward to coming back with a boom in 2017.
