I am Samantha (Sam for short), I am a Bridalwear and occasion wear Seamstress that also handmakes beautiful and unique bridal accessories, all designed and made bespoke for your wedding day. Beautiful Unique was born out of my wish to create beautiful and unique bridal accessories which you cannot find on the high street. This runs alongside a thriving business doing bridal alterations which I enj

oy very much. I have been very privileged to work with some lovely people over time and to alter and make some stunning dresses. There is nothing better than meeting a bridal party, often quite stressed, and being able to calm nerves and promise on the day their dresses will look stunning and fit perfectly. My satisfaction comes from seeing a happy bridal party and knowing I helped them.

This gorgeous handmade fingertip lace edged veil is available on our website.

It is part of our Then & Now collection. The gorgeous lace used for the edging was saved from an old wedding dress. We try and save as much as we can from old wedding dresses to avoid them just going to landfill.

Upcycling fabrics means this veil is totally unique, a one-off no one else will have. The soft tulle complements any gown and if sustainability is your thing, this is the perfect way to have a gorgeous accessory for your big day knowing you have embraced being eco-conscious.

This lace trim is very delicate and therefore needs to be sewn on by hand.

It’s also heavily beaded which makes it difficult to sew on a machine, meaning it all needs to hand stitched. By hand stitching you can get a neat and better finish.

Using offcuts from your dress to make scrunchies is also a lovely way to gift a keepsake from your big day (as long as there is enough fabric!).

Unpicking is a huge part of our work here.

Here, I am busy unpicking a cuff on a sleeve. The sleeve needs to be shortened and the cuff circumference needs to be reduced.

We can’t show you the finished sleeve as the wedding hasn’t happened yet!
