Murder Mystery Day in Youlgreave 27th April 2024

I had a wonderful day with Seema and her dance group who came on a Murder Mystery Day here in the beautiful Peak District.

They arrived at The Farmyard Inn at 11am for Coffee and Cake and for Introductions and Alibis. They were all playing character parts in the plot ‘A Talent Show…To Die For’ which included the roles of HypnoBob, Bendy Bess, Slinky Selena and Monkey Trainer – Rose Miller. Lots of sparkly outfits!

Then we set off on a 3 mile Countryside Clue Hunt where they had to follow directions and cryptic clues to discover evidence hidden in stunning Lathkill Dale.

Clues collected we returned to the pub for a delicious lunch and some interrogation.

Finally, they split into teams to deduce who killed Simeon Lewok – Talent Show Judge. They were SO close with their guesses but neither team deduced correctly and the murderers escaped each winning a coveted ‘Murderer’s Mug’. A brilliant day, lots of laughs, intrigue and even some dancing!
