🩷 A little booking update for my pub & club gigs…
Not a post I particularly wanted to make, but after a few recent issues, I’m going to be making a few changes to how I take bookings going forward.
For private events & weddings, I already have a booking process in place with a contract, T&Cs and a deposit so this doesn’t affect those bookings.
For pub & club gigs, things have traditionally been much more informal… a message to book me and payment on the night. Unfortunately, I’ve had a few too many last minute cancellations and occasions where I’ve arrived at a new venue and found that the space or environment simply isn’t suitable for my setup or for me to perform comfortably.
There have been times where I’ve felt forced to perform in a space that restricts my setup and movement, which can put extra strain on my voice and make it much harder for me to perform to the standard I want to. As singing is my job, I need to make sure I’m also looking after my voice and not putting unnecessary strain on it.
I absolutely love performing, and I’m very grateful for the fantastic venues I regularly work with 🩷 However, I’ve reached the point where I need to put a few more boundaries in place and treat my singing as the business that it is.
✨ Going forward:
🌟I’ll be putting T&Cs in place for pub & club bookings too.
🌟New venues will require a 25% deposit at the time of first booking to secure the date.
🌟Private bookings will continue to follow my existing booking process.
🌟Existing bookings will still be honoured as originally agreed.
🌟I’ll be in touch with venues about remaining 2026 bookings to confirm everything and provide the updated T&Cs.
For now, the deposit requirement will mainly apply to new venues and private bookings, although this may change in the future.
I’ll also be reviewing my pricing for 2027, as my business costs and expenses are increasing. Any bookings already made for 2027 will, of course, be honoured at the price originally agreed. 🤍
This isn’t aimed at the many lovely venues and people I work with! I genuinely appreciate all of you! It’s simply about putting a clearer process in place so that my time, equipment and work are respected too.
Thank you, as always, for supporting me & my dream🩷🎤
