It’s been a minute but finally finding time to post about what a glorious few hours I had teaching a bouquet masterclass Glasgow Flower School on Wednesday.

All the ladies did absolutely amazing. I had so so much fun teaching although I was super nervous and it definitely a bit trickier doing a bouquet whilst trying to teach 😅

I was amazed at how different and yet how beautiful each bouquet was, each lady brining her own style and thoughts to the process. It bought me such joy to see them all doing so well and creating such beauty!

Only gutted I couldn’t stay for the whole week this time (will be about more next year for sure!)

Becky Becky Rawlinson has really put in the effort here and it came through in all the details, well done. Excellent work by Little Botanica too. Looking forward to working alongside them more next year.

1. Your bridesmaids colours, stationary or linens do not have to have to match the flowers - quite the opposite

2. You don’t have to have an autumn palette in autumn - there’s so many other beautiful autumn colour combos rather than orange / brown / burgundy if you wish it

3. The venue. Listen to your florist. If your florist is saying don’t do this it’ll look s**t. Then you shouldn’t do it and it will probably look s**t.

4. Buy your Dad a bloody buttonhole

5. Flower girl baskets. Don’t buy rose petals from me, buy them ready made from Etsy. I don’t want to be ripping up roses to do those things and you don’t want to pay me to do it. Pay me to make some amazing bar flowers instead.

Something that’s been going through my head all year.

It’s a reason I have a lot of people on this app muted. Sometimes it’s hard finding a balance between using social media to find inspiration vs it becoming a rabbit hole of comparison.

Anyway I posted this once and spelt thief wrong, so here it is again!

Something that’s been running through my head all year.

I mute a lot of people on this app for this exact reason. Sometimes it’s hard to draw a line between using social media for inspiration and not going down a rabbit hole of comparison.

I had a really enjoyable morning with Sarah Barton Photography doing some branding photos and chatting. Actually playing with flowers in a rather carefree manner whilst nattering away. So refreshing.

Now I’m off to enjoy a flower free weekend with my family before hitting October hard with two outstanding weddings coming up 🤍🤍🤍
