Buckinghamshire Music Trust is recruiting for two exciting music education opportunities:

Lower Brass Tutor

We’re looking for an enthusiastic tutor—ideally a trombonist who can teach across the brass family—to deliver whole-class, individual and small-group tuition across Buckinghamshire.

Choir Leader — Maternity Cover

We’re seeking an experienced and engaging musician to lead three Saturday morning choirs in Amersham, creating an enjoyable and supportive environment for singers of different ages and abilities.

The ability to teach singing and/or another instrument would be advantageous and could provide the opportunity to build an ongoing teaching portfolio.

Depending on experience and qualifications: FTE £20,956–£35,127

Buckinghamshire Music Trust has two exciting opportunities for confident, engaging musicians who are passionate about inspiring the next generation.

🟡 LOWER BRASS TUTOR

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Lower Brass Tutor—ideally a trombonist who can teach across the brass family.

This varied role combines Whole Class Practical Musicianship teaching with individual and small-group tuition across Buckinghamshire. You’ll also work with schools to identify, encourage and nurture future brass players.

🟣 CHOIR LEADER — MATERNITY COVER

We’re looking for an experienced Choir Leader to rehearse and direct our three Saturday morning choirs in Amersham, working with singers of varying ages and abilities.

The ability to teach singing and/or another instrument would be an advantage. Any individual students taken on during the maternity cover could remain part of your timetable afterwards, providing an opportunity to build an ongoing teaching portfolio.

FTE salary: £20,956–£35,127, depending on experience and qualifications

This is a fantastic opportunity to perform challenging repertoire, work with inspiring professional musicians, take part in a residential course, and perform at major venues — including the Royal Albert Hall.
