Arrgh, cabin fever definitely got the better of me yesterday, so we headed out for a walk around Seaton and went to see the bands playing!

And yes… the heavens opened on us! Poor band too, but they carried on like troopers. 😂

Going to try again today… maybe! The cabin fever is real! 🤣

Right-ho, it may be a bank holiday, but it’s still ordering Monday here as I ramp up the kitchen work to create your 200-or-thereabouts curries. 🍛. Don’t forget if you want sourdough too you can order at the same time :-) x

Well, it seems we’re all having a bit of a washout this weekend! 🌧️

Air shows, barbecues, picnics and garden socials have all been cancelled or moved indoors. And let’s be honest, it’s just not quite the same when the sun isn’t shining, is it?

I have to say, though, I’m rather happy that the garden is happy! 🌸 Maybe this rain will even mean the hosepipe ban can be lifted and my flowers don’t have to die next year! 😂

Whatever the weather brings, I’ve always got pots of sunshine here at Khushi Kitchen ☀️

I’m still fully stocked with all the lovely things you could want, although those spinach chapatis went rather quickly! I think you quite enjoyed those… 😉

And if you can’t get to Kilmington, don’t forget all the fantastic shops stocking my food from Musbury to Honiton, Seaton, Colyton and Axminster.

So you don’t even have to travel far to get a little sunshine in your life. ☀️

Nearly Friday + bank holiday weekend = LET’S GO! No working 9-5 !

I am currently fully stocked with everything you could possibly want for a rainy, lazy summer weekend. And I’ve clearly got carried away with my spinach because I’ve been making spinach chapattis too!

I’ve been using them as wraps, housing my Gujarati potatoes, with salad on the side. Honestly… a pretty good lunch.

And YES — bhature breads are back! (In case you missed it… they’re back! 😊)

There’s also a sourdough loaf in there, reduced to £4, made by Hayley . You can order fresh ones too — message below for all the details.

And then there’s my gorgeous Coconut Chutney Chicken — made with fresh Indian coconut and finished with organic coconut milk. For the coconut lovers! 🥥

Oh, and did I mention that Beer Village and Natural Worx Seaton are both fully stocked with new goodies too? Go and have a little visit!

And there’s SO much more… all carefully crafted by moi, made with love and ready for those rainy, lazy summer days.

Good morning, good morning\! ☀️

Another sunny Devon day — and slightly cooler too\. After yesterday’s rain, I’m a very happy bunny\! 🌿

And with that spring in my step, we have an **accidental feta & olive focaccia\!** 😂

It was going to be a loaf, but I felt a little more adventurous, especially with friends coming for lunch… so here it is\! What do you think?

I’ve got to dig into it now… **nom nom\!** 😋

And I’ve also got **TWO sourdough loaves** from the lovely Delish Bakery by Hayley, reduced from **£5\.50 to just £4 each\!**

And while I’m here… **the freezers are absolutely bursting** with curry and all accompaniment’s ❤️

Well, you lot have certainly been enjoying your curries this weekend — and quite right too! The sun is shining, there’s a lovely breeze, and curry is always a good idea! 😍

A little reminder that Friday’s freshly made curries are now open for pre-orders, so don’t forget to get yours in.

And please, if you have allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements, tell me when you order.

Honestly, it would be my absolute honour to cook something especially for you. ❤️

Nobody should have to miss out on a good curry.

One of the things I love most about curry is how adaptable it is. Traditionally, so many spices have been used not just for flavour, but for their wonderful properties too. So why shouldn’t curry be something that everyone can enjoy?

Whether you need something adapted, something without a particular ingredient, or simply want me to rise to the challenge — I’m always happy to! 👩‍🍳

🍞 ALL THINGS SOURDOUGH! 🍞

Yesterday, three beautiful souls joined me in the kitchen to learn the wonderful (and slightly addictive!) art of sourdough.

And just LOOK at the loaves they produced! 😍

Their first ever sourdough loaves.
I mean… WOW. 🤩

Three fantastic students, three beautiful loaves and another 100% success rate! 🙌🏻

High five to you all! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

And then today brought another little sourdough milestone…

The lovely Hayley delivered her very first batch of sourdough loaves for orders — and what can I say? They looked absolutely beautiful, and the feedback has been fantastic. ❤️

Hayley is now taking the next step and will be baking sourdough commercially, with collection here at Khushi Kitchen on Wednesdays and Fridays (days may change as things get going).

If you’d like to order, there’s currently a sourdough group where you can see all the different options and order directly from Hayley.

Just a little about me, Mina taught me sourdough baking on one of her wonderful courses, I make my breads using her recipe, I make classic artisan sourdough and I make loaf tin sour doughs if anyone would like the sandwich shapes- I will come back to you with pricing, I can also make small sizes if that suits, so it would be 1 dough split into two and baked as usual, these are ideal for one for now one for the freezer xx
