River Cottage River Cottage has given millions of TV viewers a taste for great cooking since 1998, when Hugh first brought his famous food ethos to Channel 4.

Founded by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, championing seasonal, local, organic, and wild (following the SLOW movement) 🌱

Located at Park Farm in Axminster, our award-winning Cookery School offers accommodation, experiential dining, weddings, & events. Our hard-hitting campaigns have changed the eating habits of a nation and improved the welfare and sustainability of animals and fish. These days Riv

er Cottage splits neatly into three. Our River Cottage HQ, found on the Devon and Dorset border, is home to everything we do and is the base for our Cookery and Chefs' School, unique dining experiences, memorable events and weddings. Our 17th Century farmhouse, renovated in 2019, is available to stay in on a B&B or exclusive use basis. It's our greatest delight to share our passion for food integrity and consumption of local, seasonal produce with tens of thousands of people every year.

A month of getting stuck into life at River Cottage 🌿

Emma has spent the past few weeks with us at River Cottage as a volunteer, gaining hands-on experience across all areas of the business, including the cookery school, front of house, back of house, and the garden.

She was such a brilliant addition to the team, and we really appreciated her enthusiasm, positivity, and willingness to get stuck in with every part of life at River Cottage.
