Last weekend of the holidays 👍You’ll find us outside the Suie on Sat an at the Dell for Karawane on Sun- it’s a ticketed event, here’s what they say. We couldn’t agree more:
“If our community was ever in need of a good letting loose and dancing it off, it’s now. Throw in the fact that it’s the end of the school holiday, another great reason to make the most of the summer vibes.”

The news our Glenmore neighbours have been waiting for! 🎉

**UPDATE 19:30 on 06 August

We are pleased to confirm that the Glenmore corridor will open tomorrow. This milestone is thanks to the work of partner organisations, gamekeepers, farmers, contractors, businesses and communities, who have pulled together and worked tirelessly to make the area safe.

In addition, today the Scottish Government announced a £3 million package of support for affected businesses, providing vital support at this difficult time.

This is really positive news, and we are hopeful that this marks the beginning of the journey into recovery, after a really difficult period.

Together with partners, we’ve created a handy map to provide clarity on what areas and paths are closed off, and what is open. As well as fencing and signage being installed, Park Authority staff, volunteer rangers and partner ranger services will be out on patrol from tomorrow ready to help welcome visitors back to Glenmore and chat through useful information and advice.

This week it’s a “What Next” menu. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Just when things were looking up, our fryer decided to start playing up again.
So we’ve made menu based on less fried food….
With what produce we could get our hands on because deliveries still aren’t allowed past Checkpoint Coylum*….
And we already had pork on a low n slow...

See you The Balavoulin Aviemore tonight and tomorrow night for some delish scran and a beer.
We’re on holiday next week so don’t miss out.

Once again, massive thanks for all the offers of help, to the OBI for taking in deliveries for us and all the unsung heroes of the past week. And of course, the absolute graft of the crews up in Glenmore and Abernethy.

We’ve been allowed access to Badaguish to our kitchen and truck and will be out this weekend:

Mon 27/Tue 28th

We unfortunately have to cancel our outings this weekend as we have no access to our base at Badaguish:
Sat: Glenmore Campsite as it remains closed (as is the wider Glenmore area).
Sun: The Dell of Abernethy for the Karawane gig
‼️Please note: The event is going ahead- The dell are looking for alternative catering and are unaffected by the fire.‼️
Mon/Tues: The Balavoulin Aviemore are risk of cancellation as we don’t know when the ski road will reopen. Will keep you posted.
Once again, thanks to the emergency services, gamekeepers, farmers, estate teams, volunteers, plant drivers and many more for their efforts.
🚔And to reiterate the police advice: please keep away from the Glenmore area and let the teams do their work.

Badaguish was evacuated last night.
We are unable to access our kitchen, van or stock and can say for certain if we’ll make our booked gigs- very unlikely Glenmore campsite on Sat. And Dell on Sunday, Balavoulin Mon/Tues will depend how the situation unfolds.

Our thanks to the emergency services, estate staff, gamekeepers and many others working round the clock to bring the fire under control. And to the Badaguish team for helping us out last night.
