It was such a privilege to head back to my old primary school today to play for the P3-P5s at their mini Burns Supper. Was really special heading back to the same hall where I started my journey.

I had a great time not only playing the tunes but sharing my piping journey with the pupils. A huge thanks to Mrs Tannock-Josey, Mrs Swinton and Mr Wilkins for having me back! 🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎶

Just wrapped up an incredible 48 hours at Celtic Connections and my ears are still ringing in the best way possible. 🤣
The weekend kicked off with some pure class from Dauntless and the brilliant Eilidh Shaw & Ross Martin, followed by the legendary Festival After Hours club (the only way to finish a night in Glasgow now that I'm 18 right?! 🍻).

Saturday was a day I won't forget. The Gordon Duncan Tribute Pipe Band: Live 'N' Well @ 30 at the Royal Concert Hall was absolutely amazing. Seeing Gordon’s brother, Pipe Major Ian Duncan, leading that incredible line-up of world-class pipers and drummers was a true 'hairs standing up on your arms' moment. A fantastic, powerful tribute to a legend. Was nice to catch up with Ross Ainslie Music and see him and Ali Hutton do their thing on the stage was again another highlight for sure.

To top it all off? A trip to the Emirates Arena to see Skerryvore. Watching them play to 4,500 people at their biggest indoor gig ever was a moment to remember. Heron Valley and Project Smok as support were outstanding too! Got my merch 😉

Last night’s Newtonmores Torchlit Procession was truly something special. 👏
Fergus and I had the honour of leading the crowds through the village. 🎶
Fergus started down at the Balavil Hotel while I piped from The Glen. Seeing the hundreds of people following behind us with torches was a sight to behold 🤩
We met in the middle and piped together up to the bandstand at the golf course to listen to the fab Ailsa Vilegas and fantastic display of fireworks.
A huge well done to everyone who braved the elements to make it such a remarkable event.
Happy New Year to you all! Wishing everyone a fantastic 2026. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

A Whirlwind Few Days! 🎶
It has been a non-stop festive season, and the pipes haven’t had much time to cool down!

• Newtonmore Ceilidh (Dec 28th): I had a fantastic time playing with the Monadh Rhuadh band. The energy was incredible, the dancers were all eager and everyone had a blast.
• The Big 18: Yesterday was a massive milestone... celebrated my 18th Birthday! 🎂 We headed to La Taverna, Aviemore for a delicious meal and my first 'official' legal drink. (still managed to get asked for ID!) 😂🥂
• Looking Ahead (New Year’s Eve): There’s no rest just yet! I'm gearing up for the Newtonmore Torchlit Procession. This event is always a highlight of the year for me...the community spirit is second to none, the streets are packed, and there’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of the torches and the pipes to ring in the New Year.

It was incredible to see thousands of people lining the streets for the Aviemore Christmas Parade. There’s nothing quite like the sound of the Pipe Band echoing through the village to get the festive spirit going! 🎶
From the pipes to the reindeer (and the big man in red himself!)...it was a night to remember. Huge thanks to everyone who came out in the cold to see us...the atmosphere was electric! 🎅🦌

What an amazing start to the Christmas parade season for the Badenoch and Strathspey Pipe Band! 🎶
We had a fantastic time tonight at Grantown on Spey for their torchlit procession 🎄 Looking forward to bringing the festive spirit to Aviemore, Kingussie, and Newtonmore tomorrow night.
Enjoy this clip from tonight! 🎥

Piper to Piper: A truly moving tribute to the legend, Gordon Duncan.

Just wanted to share this very special video from the fantastic Ross Ainslie who is paying tribute to the brilliant Gordon Duncan, 20 years to the day after his passing.

Ross is performing Gordon's own composition "The Sleeping Tune"

The music continues to inspire! ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Last-minute wedding magic!

An absolute pleasure piping for Selina & Mel all the way from America, who chose The Penny Bun Badaguish as their wedding setting ... and what a perfect choice it was! 🎶💍

Last night was a truly special evening - the stunning scenery, the heartfelt words from Barry, and a lovely handfasting ceremony that made it all feel so personal.

Wishing Selina and Mel every happiness for their future together. Thank you for letting me be part of your day! 🎵🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

🎥 Throwback to the World Porridge Championships in Carrbridge! 🥣🎶

Yup it’s a real thing - folk from all over the world gather to see who can make the best porridge to win the golden spurtle 🥣

Here’s a look back at last year when the band piped down the main street! 🥄🎵

Sadly, the weather this year was more soggy oats than golden porridge, so no outdoor tunes ... but fingers crossed we’ll be back next year, piping hot and ready to play! ☔️😂

What a night at The Suie Bar in Kincraig! 🔥

Great tunes, great craic, and an amazing session with the Fèis team.

Love getting back to the roots of traditional Scottish music — this is the other side of music I truly enjoy! 🎶
