I wrote this line while editing my latest blog and immediately thought of dozens of weddings I've photographed.
The photos couples frame.
The photos they cry over.
The photos they show their children years later.
They're rarely the ones they had on their Pinterest board.
They're the moments that simply happened.
The moments that became memories.

And yet I'd bet good money it's one of the photographs this couple still laughs about years later.
The magic of a wedding day isn't perfection.
It's personality.

Well, the sun gods didn't hear my prayers yesterday until early evening ...but when the wedding is at a venue as stunning as this a bit of rain doesn't matter.

Yesterday's gorgeous couple do not share on social media, and I respect their wishes. But they have given me permission to share the attached images to help thank the amazing suppliers who all helped to make the day as special as it was.

Behind the scenes of a newborn session... 👶🕷️

Mum and Dad are lovingly gazing at their brand new baby.

And big brother?

Big brother is Spiderman.

As it should be 😄

One of the things I love most about newborn sessions is capturing the whole family exactly as they are in this moment. Sometimes that includes a superhero costume, endless energy and a very important mission to save the studio.

Wouldn't have it any other way 💛

I think this is why photographs matter so much.

Not because life is always perfect.

But because ordinary moments quietly become precious over time.

The walks.
The cuddles.
The chaos.
The routines.
The familiar faces waiting at the door.

Sometimes we don’t realise we’re documenting memories until they become memories ❤️

Not every pet photoshoot happens for the same reason.

Some are celebrations.
Some are milestones.
Some are because people know time is changing.

An assistance dog about to retire.
A beloved dog living with cancer.
An old best friend whose face deserves to be remembered forever.
A puppy turning one.
A newborn arriving into a family already full of love.

The older I get, the more I realise photographs are rarely about “perfect pictures”.

They’re about holding onto moments before they quietly disappear.

And honestly?
These are the photos nobody ever regrets taking ❤️
