JB Moments Photography I am based in Larbert, Central Scotland where I have a home studio with ample off street car parking.

JB Moments Photography is a Perthshire wedding, newborn, family and personal branding photographer based in Auchterarder, serving Stirling, Gleneagles and surrounding areas. This is one of my favourite parts of a personal branding shoot.

Someone tells me there's nothing interesting to photograph.

Then they show me what they do.

And suddenly I'm asking approximately 47 questions about something they thought was completely ordinary. 😂

Because when you're so close to your own business, you stop seeing the things that make it interesting.

That's where another pair of eyes comes in handy.

You've done it a hundred times.

Probably a thousand.

Of COURSE you don't find it interesting any more.

But that doesn't mean your customers feel the same way.

That thing you do without thinking?

The little detail you always check?

The preparation that happens before someone arrives?

The reason you choose one product over another?

That's content.

And quite possibly more useful content than another graphic telling people to believe in themselves. 😂

One business.

One branding session.

Five photographs.

And SO many different things to talk about.

This is what I mean when I say your business photography needs to do more than give you a nice new headshot.

A nutrition coach doesn't only need photographs of herself smiling at a camera.

She might want to talk about meal preparation, ingredients, her approach to coaching, everyday routines or a little about herself.

Different photographs. Different conversations.

You don't need a new photograph every time you want to post something.

You need photographs that help you tell different stories.

“But what if it rains ALL day?”
Then it rains all day.
And we work with it.
Some photographs might happen indoors. Some under cover. Some under an umbrella.
We might change the order we'd originally planned.
And if you're up for venturing outside for five minutes, I'll be there too.
Your wedding doesn't suddenly become a lesser version of itself because it rained.
So your photographs shouldn't either.
And yes, I've photographed weddings where it really did rain all day.
Still got the pictures. 😉

Uh oh I was on the radio again. This time about people using AI to remove watermarks from school photos. Bottom line…don’t do it! Your photographer owns the copyright to the image. If you do it you are stealing.

You don't need a photographer who can promise it won't rain.
Unless they've developed powers I don't know about.
You need one who can look at the rain and think:
Right. What are we doing instead?
Move the groups indoors.
Use the doorway.
Change the timings.
Watch for a break.
Get the umbrellas.
Or occasionally stand in the rain myself while you stay dry. 😂
You can't control the weather on your wedding day.
But rain absolutely does not mean ruined wedding photographs.
