🎅🏼🎄 Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair

📅 Sunday 29th November 2026

⏰ 1pm – 6pm

16/09/2026

🎆 OK… WE’LL OWN UP! 💥 🎆

If you heard two VERY loud bangs in Attleborough this evening and wondered what on earth was going on… that was us!

Tonight, the Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair team met with our professional fireworks company at the school field to carry out a very small test ahead of this year’s Christmas Carnival.

The mission was simple: launch two test fireworks to see whether they could be seen clearly from Queen’s Square.

What we hadn’t quite anticipated was just HOW LOUD they were going to be… or quite how far the sound would travel! 💥

We’ve since discovered that our two little test fireworks caused rather more excitement around Attleborough than intended - including calls to the emergency services!

So, mystery solved! There was no emergency and nothing sinister going on - just your Christmas Carnival team doing a little bit of behind-the-scenes planning for Sunday 29th November. 🎄🎅✨

We’re genuinely sorry to anyone we startled (including your dogs, cats, children… and probably half of Attleborough!). We honestly hadn’t expected two test fireworks to create quite such a bang. We genuinely hadn’t anticipated quite how loud the two test fireworks would be or how far the sound would travel, and we’re very sorry to anyone who was startled or concerned.

We’ve certainly learned from tonight and we’ll make sure plenty of advance notice is given ahead of the Carnival fireworks.

The Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair Team 🎄✨

🎅🏼🤶🏻🎄🌟 It’s 100 days till Christmas today!!! 🎁☃️❄️🎊🎉

Jules & Claire - the Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair Committee, will be celebrating in style tonight doing something very exciting!

All will be revealed in due course…..watch this space!!! ❤️🎊🎉
