Jules & Claire had a successful show round of the brand new facilities at Attleborough Leisure Centre today! We discussed all things Christmas with Ben & Sophie and James Watkins the Project Manager from Breckland Council overseeing the renovations. Thanks so much for meeting with us!!! Safe to say, we are very happy!! The preparations for a fantastic Christmas Carnival & Fair in November continue….

Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair will return on Sunday 29th November 2026 and we’re inviting local businesses to be part of this much-loved community event! ❤️

This year, we are back in Attleborough town centre with the Christmas Lights Switch-On, Santa’s grotto, festive entertainment, stalls, music and family fun. As a small volunteer-run committee, we rely on the support of local businesses to help make the event possible.

Attleborough Christmas Carnival & Fair are looking for Stall Holders for our event on Sunday 29th November 2026 1pm - 6pm.

We have a few different indoor locations this year, and we are particularly interested in anyone that is happy to have an outside stall!

So crafters, PTA’s, community groups, charities, fundraisers, and anyone else that’s interested, please click on the link and fill out the application below.

📣 Calling all tractor drivers!! 📣

As part of this year’s event we are introducing something new….

Santa, Mrs Claus & Elf Extraordinaire need to get to the grotto for 2pm. What better way to lead them in than a tractor run procession!! We are asking anyone who has a tractor that they can decorate with lights & Christmas decorations, to enter into our Santa’s tractor run procession. 🎅🏼🤶🏻🧝🏻‍♀️

All entry fees will be donated to Attleborough Christmas Lights!!

Prize for ‘Best dressed tractor’ 🏆

Attleborough Christmas Carnival and Christmas Lights Committees Announce Partnership for 2026.

Attleborough Christmas Carnival Committee and Attleborough Christmas Lights Committee are delighted to announce that they will be working in partnership for 2026, following a series of positive and constructive discussions between the two groups.

This collaboration has been agreed independently by both committees only, reflecting a shared commitment to delivering an exceptional festive experience for the town, and is founded on a mutual desire to strengthen and support Christmas celebrations in Attleborough.

A key part of this partnership is the Christmas Carnival Committee’s pledge to donate all profits from the 2026 event towards the Christmas Lights. This contribution will directly support the ongoing delivery of Attleborough’s much-loved festive display, which costs approximately £15,000 each year. Aside from a £5,000 grant from Attleborough Town Council, the lights are funded through sponsorship, fundraising, and community donations.

Both committees are run entirely by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about creating a vibrant and memorable Christmas for the local community. By working together, they aim to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of both the carnival and the town’s festive lights.

Attleborough Christmas Carnival and Fair will take place in the town centre on Sunday 29th November 2026. The event will once again culminate in the much-anticipated switching on of the Christmas lights at 5:00pm - a highlight of the town’s festive calendar.

Together, both groups are committed to making Christmas in Attleborough bigger and better than ever before.

Our friends at the Dogs Trust Charity Shop, Attleborough are running the book sale next weekend at Attleborough Town Hall. Go and grab a bargain! 📚❤️

This is our big week and we're really hoping that you can all help us please..

📕Thanks to Attleborough Town Council who have graciously given the Dogs Trust Charity Shop, Attleborough the opportunity to run the town book sale again.

📙It will be a real community event with Attleborough Women's Institute selling refreshments and the Artlink Art Club displaying and selling their work from local artists.

📗We have approx 6 - 8,000 books - Way more than our last sale and we need to sell them all! We have overfilled the storage.

📘They have been collected from all the Dogs Trust Charity shops in London and the South East.

📓Please can you react to this post - like or comment that you are coming to keep it active and more importantly share it to your page and local community and for sale pages. This would be a huge help to get the poster out to as many people as possible.

We're a little concerned it may be quiet over the Easter weekend. We have a whole room of kids books as well as more categories than before and so many vintage books. Memories from the past.

We have already posted nearly 100 posters around town but I feel a lot of people don't know and I don't want them to miss out. (Tell your friends and neighbours who may not be on Facebook) Our volunteers are working so hard on this and it's a fantastic opportunity to stock up on books.

Even if you don't buy anything pop in and say hi!
