Today, the 'Tuesday Community Hub' at Hurley Village Hall celebrated the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. As well as the usual hot drinks and cakes we shared buffet food and a celebration cake baked especially for us by Flutterby Bakery. Everyone enjoyed a good chat whilst listening to wartime songs. Tony was living in the village on VE Day and shared some local wartime stories with us. The lending library was also open.
The Tuesday Hub is open every week from 11am to 1pm. The Tuesday Hub is run by volunteers and the Hurley Community Association

Easter holidays are now over but we still want to celebrate the amazing creations we had at our Easter Trail’s Egg decorating contest. Congratulations to the overall winner, Jack, for his Egg cellent farm. Congratulations to the creative siblings Jessica and Joseph for their Chicken Jockey & Purple Minion. And of course, our most traditional was the amazing basket from Esme. Prizes and certificates all round. To arrange collection (and to collect your creation) please email [email protected]
In order to have more events like the Easter Trail the HCA needs your support. Tell us your ideas, offer a few hours to volunteer at a particular event. Donation to the HCA to help towards costs, or maybe take the plunge and become a trustee. Any of these will greatly help us, thank you in advance.
