The Diaspora Calling made its UK debut at Milton Keynes National Bowl a couple of weeks back, with Ms Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean performing The Score in full.

We were there with Buzz Drones providing drone ops for the main stage.

Aerials at a bowl are worth the planning. It is one of the few UK sites where the shape of the venue is part of the story, and you only really see that from above. Getting it safely is the bit people do not see. Permissions, flight windows, crowd overflight rules and a plan that survives a running order moving around.

We’re really looking forward to this one in collaboration with oXyFire Media 🔥

Live streaming is about more than just hitting “Go Live”.

It requires stable connectivity, clean audio, reliable power, and contingency planning so the stream stays live even if something changes.

That’s why we design live streams around the environment, not a one-size-fits-all setup.

Symphonic Ibiza in Harrogate a last week. A 40 piece orchestra playing dance anthems outdoors, with Heather Small, Rebecca Ferguson and Alison Limerick on vocals, a DJ warm up and Vernon Kay bringing his Radio 2 Dance Sounds of the 90s show along as the support set.

We were there with the trailer, four PTZs and a FOH camera with an operator, cutting live on the night for Bristol-based Okoru Events.

Orchestral shows are a different cut to a band. Forty players means the interesting thing is constantly moving around the stage, and the PTZs earn their keep covering sections you would never get an operator into once the audience is in. The FOH camera holds the wide and the soloists, and everything else fills in around it.

A proper night. Big anthems, string section, Yorkshire sky. 🎶

IMAG and recording at the British Airways Flight Ops Summer Fly-In a few weeks back. Scouting for Girls and The Hoosiers on the bill, outdoors, with air displays through the day.

One FOH operator, one RF operator, plus vision and graphics from us.

The air displays were an interesting challenge. They happen once, they happen fast, and the screens need to be on the aircraft before the crowd has finished looking up. So the RF camera is roaming and ready rather than parked, and whoever is cutting has to be watching the sky as well as the stage.

Then it swaps straight back to a band set, and the screens return to faces and guitars. Two completely different jobs, same afternoon, same four people, and we really enjoyed it!

Many events need more than one service to work properly.

Video, live streaming, live production, and connectivity all rely on each other.

Bringing those elements together under one team simplifies planning, reduces risk, and keeps the production consistent from start to finish.

Right camera. Right lens. Right operator.

Get any one of those wrong and it shows.

We run Blackmagic bodies paired with the right glass, matched to what the show actually needs. Wide festival mains, tight courtside sport, corporate closeups, the lens choice does half the work before anyone rolls a shot.

Kit is only ever as good as the person behind it though. Which is why our camera ops are the ones we’d want on our own shows.

The best festival gigs are the ones nobody notices we’re there 🎪

Which means the work happens weeks before we roll onto site. Site plans studied. Access mapped. Signal environments checked. Every metre of cable accounted for.

Turn up prepared and show day feels easy.

If you turn up hoping, it’s a long weekend.

We prefer to be prepared.

Our 24ft jib is proper crowd-pleasing kit 🎥

Motorised pan-tilt head, smooth movement, and enough reach to give producers those elevated hero shots that lift a broadcast from good to properly cinematic.

Great for main-stage festival coverage, arena events, sports and any show where a static wide just doesn’t cut it.

Available as part of a full production package or as a dry hire.

If you’ve got a show that could use a bit of lift, drop us a line.
