Bonfire Night is associated with the tradition of celebrating the failure of Guy Fawkes' actions on 5 November 1605. The British festival is, therefore, on 5 November, although some commercially driven events are held at a weekend near to the correct date, to maximise attendance.

From bonfires to firework displays, a range of events are taking place across the west.

National Stress Awareness Day 2025 is on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, and is part of International Stress Awareness Week, which runs from November 3-7, 2025. The day is dedicated to raising awareness about the effects of stress, particularly in the workplace, and promoting strategies for managing it.
